  • Of course it is normal! Not to worry. You will be just fine - and you will make friends! Which is great, because they will be on the same path as you. I love my "Zumba girls!"
  • 40lbs. away from Onederland...I can't wait to get there! Started out at 265.
  • I'm trying to figure out my plan of action for Thanksgiving. Fortunately, I am off this week so I have an opportunity to work out twice tomorrow and Wednesday, to prepare for the big day! I don't think I'm going to stress myself out counting the calories. I already know I'm going to overeat. I'm going to try to be very…

  • My favorite chips are "Lays Salt&Vinegar Stax." Last night I treated myself and bought them. Usually I would finish the entire container in one sitting. Granted, I ate half the container of chips last night...BUT, I had the calories available. I'm also proud that I was able to put them down and not eat the whole container!…
  • I don't have a cheat day. I have what I want to eat (within reason!), if I have the calories available. If I don't, I don't eat it. I try to maintain a healthy diet for the most part, but I sneak in cookies and pizza here and there. I don't want to deprive myself too much of what I like, or I will end up quitting because I…
  • Protein can cause constipation? Maybe that's what I'm going through! Sorry if this is too much info. I just haven't been able to figure out why I am constipated all the time now.
  • I tried it and didn't see any results. That's just me personally. I saw results with OxyElite Pro...but that's currently off the market now. However, there is a supplement called EpiBurn Pro, which is similar to OxyElite Pro, and I have seen results with that. As always, if you decide to take a supplement, make sure you…
  • My SW was 265. My size 18 jeans were tight on me. My CW is 239. I am wearing size 16 jeans comfortably. They are even a bit loose! :)
  • I do Zumba as well for my exercise routine. When I put in 60 minutes to MyFitness Pal it was saying I burned over 1,000 calories. After doing some research, I decided that number was more than likely NOT correct. From that point on, even though I'm doing 60 minutes of Zumba, I put in that I do 40. MyFitness Pal equated…
  • I don't have a gym membership. However, I do have a zumba membership at a local dance studio. It's $65 per month for unlimited classes. I can go every day of the week if I want to! I love it!
  • Congratulations...that's such a great feeling! I work at a country club. Our Members leave in April/May and return in October. One of them saw me the other day and kept looking at me...puzzled. She came over to me and said "Something is different about you.....(long pause)....did you lose weight?" It made me feel like I…
  • I like your idea of keeping a journal of your small victories. The small victories are what ultimately leads us to becoming better...healthier...stronger. The best you, that you can be. Small victories are also great motivators I find because they make you realize you are changing. PS: I am eating carrots right now as I…
  • Oh my gosh. Congratulations! There are no words. What a journey! You look fantastic. You inspire us all. :)
  • Quitting pop is so difficult! I used to drink three cans of pepsi...A DAY! My husband and I were going through one of the 36 packs of pepsi from Walmart in less than a week. I have ended my relationship with pop...well, for the most part! I drink almost 12 bottles of water a day. I only have pop maybe once a month. This…
  • I experienced something similar last night! I noticed I can actually see a defined outline of my knee caps...not just a blob. Does that make sense how I'm describing it? Not sure lol...anyways, it felt AMAZING! I felt so good about myself!
  • This is beautiful. What a lovely tribute to your dog! I'm sorry for your loss. Good for you for staying strong and doing something healthy!
  • I completely know what you mean! The whole clothing aspect of this journey is amazing. It feels so good when clothes that were tight on you are baggy. It's almost like you can't believe it! Recently, I was able to take my work pants off and on without unzipping or unbuttoning them. It was such an amazing feeling. Good luck…
  • This is absolutely incredible and brought tears to my eyes! I'm so happy for you. That is truly an amazing accomplishment!
  • YES, YES, YES! I can totally relate to this and this thread! I have been a size 18 for as long as I can remember. Recently, I've been able to get my work pants on and off without un-zippering or un-buttoning. My husband forced me to go to the store and get new pants. I was terrified. Even though I love Lane Bryant, and…
  • My days off from exercise are usually Friday and Sunday. I try to workout 4-5 days a week. I missed last night and feel terrible about it today! BUT, sometimes life happens. Just don't make it a habit of taking off whenever feel like it. Sometimes you have to push through the stress, exhaustion, and the "I just don't feel…
  • I try to stick to eating things I scan and eating at restaurants where the nutritional value is listed right in the menu. I don't like the guessing game either. Especially with homemade meals. I much prefer to scan a barcode...it works out way better for me!
  • My AH HA moment was when I couldn't fit into a seat at Busch Gardens on one of the rollercoasters. I was there with my husband and one of his best friends. I was absolutely mortified. It felt like everyone there was staring at me. I was embarrassed...I was sad...I was crushed. How on earth did I let myself get to this…
  • Unfortunately, we all fall off the wagon. It's definitely hard to get up and dust yourself off. Take comfort in knowing you are not alone. We are all going through what you're going through. You just need to ask yourself, how bad do you want it? I wish there was an easier answer, or a manual we could read to advise us on…
  • Sorry if this is too much info, but I know I most vulnerable during that time of the month. I always want something sweet or salty that's not good for me! I budget the calories to have an unhealthy snack of my choice. This way I haven't sabotaged myself. I agree with others who have posted. The minute you start depriving…
  • WOW! Congratulations, you look so WONDERFUL! You are a true inspiration. Thank you for posting!
  • Whenever I skip a workout, I get so mad at myself! I totally know how you feel. I always think to myself, why didn't I just go? It's only an hour! Don't beat yourself up. It happens to the best of us...some days you just aren't going to be able to go. Good luck to you on your journey!
  • Congratulations! That is such an accomplishment. I hit that goal on October 18 when I weighed in, and it felt wonderful! Being under 250 again is the most amazing feeling. I literally had to rub my eyes to make sure I was reading the scale correctly. Again, congratulations. That's a HUGE accomplishment. Enjoy your…
  • I like how you worded that. I think that's how a lot of us feel! At least I know I do. I feel like this awesome, fun, vivacious skinny girl trapped in this obese body...I can't wait to break free!
  • Right now I'm on an oatmeal kick: I love it! I've been eating the 160 calorie oatmeal packs from Quaker that are "weight control." They are so good! I also sometimes eat a special k flatbread (180 calories) for breakfast sometimes. Good luck to you!
