Thanks for the replies! I think i'll still continue eating a lot specially during lifting days but I think i will do the following: - decrease my calorie surplus (used to be days where i had over 1k excess) - add more cardio days (i used to only lift 3 days and rest in between) - eat even more cleaner, less sugary stuff…

I'm definitely in the same page. been on a 2-week bulk already and i can't count the number of times i'm tempted to cut back on the calories i eat. Plus the bouncing numbers on the scales doesn't really encourage me much since a higher number makes me worried that i'm getting fat and getting my pre-bulk weight makes me…

I used to use herbalif a couple of year ago but it felt like i was starving myself since i wasnt used to meal replacement diets. I did get thinner but it wasnt really something that I can maintain for a very long time. I believe calorie tracking is more efficient plus doing workouts which allows you to eat more is…

ok.... after one week of eating over my calorie limit, my official monday weigh shows that i didnt gain any weight at all. i guess i shouldn't feel too conscious about eating too much.

thanks, my macros are setup to just a little under 100 calories over my TDEE but I ALWAYS eat my exercise calories (which are always accurate because of my HRM) plus I'm usually a bit over by 100 or 200 on my Total calorie limit. So i guess this is me skirting the line between maintenance and being on a bulk depending on…

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm going to start taking note of my 10 rep max per exercise in AllPro's routine by tomorrow. I'm just really conflicted since I only finished week 2 of P90X and it did give me some bit of results but im just not any stronger (deficit diet + low resistance probably)

My main goal right now has always been to get stronger so that I will be able to Bench,Squat,DL higher weights. Right now with the equipment i have (15 lbs dumbell pair), I struggle with some lifts (shoulder flys, etc) and some are already too easy. Mostly, I needed to know the next step I can take for progressive overload…

hmm that's true, i am really used to doing home work outs but I will pass by one of my local gyms soon and try out one of the compound sets (planning to do All pro) and see if its something that I can do constantly.

Thanks for the input!. Its true that I think I should be able to lose weight easily because of my weight loss progress in just a few months time. Now that I significantly changed my goal from losing weight to gaining muscle mass, I am mostly just concerned about losing whatever progress I made. I do like fitting on my new…

I used to do back to back cardio but now that im one pound away from my goal, I changed up and focused on doing more weight/strength training to build muscles. It's kinda disconcerting when people say that being too thin doesnt suit me since they're used to me being fat :(

Thanks again, one last question before I flood the thread with too many replies, Whats your opinion on a commercial program like Body Beast which focuses on gaining muscles. I was planning on following this program once I start doing serious lifting at the gym.

Thanks for the replies, you have been really helpful. Just to note, I am really interested in doing progressive overload and weight training but I'm still unsure if its the right time for me to switch from cutting to bulking. I still have some left-over fat on my tummy that i'm trying really hard to burn but I know that…

I'm planning to do JM's Body Revolution and a hybrid of P90X/Turbofire (through a custom calendar i found online). I just find JM's Body Rev to be a bit too easy at least for the 1st week so I wanted to add more workouts. I'm mostly worried about destroying the muscle confusion concept since both sets of workouts look like…

WOW! Those results are just awesome! Congratulations on the great change!

i'm really interested in this because those are the ones that i just finished/about to finish.

thanks for the opinion guys. I think maybe i'd really like a more balanced workout series (good balance between cardio and strength). i'm moving on between series since i dont want to do the same routines over and over for months on end (Will get too boring plus my body will get used to it).

wow thank you for the comments. I guess I should dig deeper into my diet and look at ways to improve my macros instead rather than focusing on a single food source.

I also get a lot of compliments and questions on how I lost weight which I always answer honestly (exercise and diet!). I think jealousy is too much to describe my colleagues but getting them inspired to do the same actually feels good! One of my best buddies at work is now doing MFP as well (he's starting at 220 lbs!) and…

I don't know about you guys but i've been eating bread regularly during my first month and my weight keeps on dropping s at an acceptable pace/level.

wow thats a good coincidence i just finished 19th day of 30 DS but i tried Day 1 of Ripped in 30 as my secondary workout for today. It does look similar to 30DS 1st level with some bit of changes. I like them both! However, if i finished Level 3 of 30DS and moved on to Ripped in 30 would that be like going down in…

i tend to check my weight very often every since i bought my new digital scale. It's kinda funny how i gain 0.2 lbs just by drinking a glass of water... when i weighed myself when i woke up today i was almost 3 lbs lighter than my last official weigh-in. i still haven't logged it yet tho since i'm not sure if that is…

This is amazing! Thanks for the inspiring story

i always look at this section of the forum to get inspired and this is definitely inspirational! great job, you look awesome!

i have the same problem. people are saying that i look thinner but the weighing scale doesn't lie :(

Hi to all pinoys!

Thanks for the replies! I'll take all your comments in mind. @deksgrl I believe its 300 cal from my base goal with no adjustment due to exercise (i havent plugged in the exercise on MFP since i couldnt find the 30 day shred info there) @wareagle8706 Thanks for the peanut butter sandwich idea. I do love peanut butter and I…

Thanks for reply and I added you! Currently, I feel like I'm stuck at 145lbs for a couple of weeks now although I used to be almost 160 before I started seriously dieting. I just really need to workout more!
