I started with couch to 5 k last year, then did bridge to 10k and I'm doing my first half marathon in May. It's really easily do-able. Find some good podcasts to listen to. This may sound strange - but you *HAVE* to actually eat food BEFORE you run. I can't tell my car to move and then reward it with petrol, and I can't…

Yup - the noodles will increase in weight when you cook them. And the calorie levels on the back are for 100g of the cooked, not raw noodles, there are probably also cooking directions on the back as well, which will say how much water to add to the pack. The back has 425g raw noodles in it, which when you cook them…

Another vegan here: mainly ethical. I love the cookbook Veganomicon, so mostly cook from that. About to start on 'Vegan Eats World' by same author. Feel free to send a friend request.

I know it was silly. I enjoy running club, but running on my own is actually a different and nicer experience. We'll see. A couple of other running club people are doing a half, so they just tell me to tag along with them, and go out one day outwith a club day. I bike to work, and running in the dark is no fun, so Saturday…

Great Thanks. To loose I've been eating at 1200 calories a day + my exercise which works out at 2100 + on most work days and 1200 on my rest day. I mostly eat my calories from exercise but sometimes don't. I calculate my exercise calories using 'map my ride' or my runner's GPS NOT the MFP calculator which is a bit weird. I…

I've been sticking to 1200 calories a day plus sometimes eating the 200-300 calories I'd burn off going for a run in the evening if I did and I was doing really well and lost 16kg. Now I'm loosing 800calories through cycling and I've found I need to eat a bit more through the day just to have the energy to get home. The…

Because you are an athlete and work out a lot you may find this web page useful. http://www.nomeatathlete.com/vegetarian-diet-athletes/ I have to admit I don't work out that much - though I usually either run 5k or swim 1 mile a day, is that a lot, but I'm still trying to loose weight rather than maintain. I don't doubt…

I have been vegetarian forever, since childhood, and vegan since new year (though it's my 5th attempt at veganism but this time it seems to be ok). I'm going to be blunt here because I'm assuming I'm talking to someone with the same value-system as me when it comes to meat. I would start off by watching a you tube video of…

Not much but I've lost 9kg in the last month using my fitness pal. I feel that's a success.

I guess I wanted to do strength/core without going to a gym, because there isn't one I can easily go to. I thought sit-ups would be a good start to do at home without any equipment. Maybe 30 day abs challenge is the way to go. That looks do-able.
