Hi there,
I'm never doing any exercise other than cardiovascular but thinking of starting to do sit-ups at home. How often is it worth doing them, and how many should I do in one go?
Also any good videos on proper technique?

why do you wanna do sit ups?
To be honest, there's no point just doing sit ups, you should look to do a full core workout0 -
you can find many technique videos on youtube. Planks are a better core exercise than sit ups but what you want is a workout that exercises all your core muscles so they stay in balance0

If you do sit ups incorrectly you end up with a bigger stomach. I have to agree focus on core strength exercise instead of just sit ups. Videos all over the place on how to do that.0

Just doing situps is kinda pointless, you're better off investing your time in some good full body movements, you work your core with that too.0

Doing sit ups alone is pointless I agree however - if you are keen to strengthen core you could do a mix of ab workouts such as x amount of sit ups, x amount of leg raises and x amount of seconds plank.
I still have fat to lose but had no strength in core I do 3 classes a week but also started 30 day abs challenge and can feel the difference as I could only do sit up with someone holding my feet now I can do 80 on my own using core strength.0 -
I guess I wanted to do strength/core without going to a gym, because there isn't one I can easily go to. I thought sit-ups would be a good start to do at home without any equipment. Maybe 30 day abs challenge is the way to go. That looks do-able.0
