5% of 200 lbs = 10 lbs. If you cut your calories and exercise regularly 10 lbs. in a year is doable without any type of diet pill. Doesn't seem worth the added expense and medical bills.

100% this ^^^^ I've had two friends have it done and neither has changed their eating habits. They eat what they've always eaten and just deal with the dumping syndrome.

MFP calculates my calorie goals at about 1,400 calories per day to lose 1 lb. per week. I was losing eating 1,400 calories until about February then from February 10th to March 17th I didn't lose anything at all.
