I start week 2 tonight. Are you running indoors on a treadmill or outdoors? I walk/jog on my indoor treadmill and find if I try walking too fast for my stride my shins are burning. Normally if I slow it down a little the pain goes away. I'm 5'3" and my stride is not very long. I walk at 3.3 MPH (had to work up to this) and…

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing Polar FT4 vs. Fitbit?

If you have an iPhone or Android phone you can download the app (mine cost $.99) but there are some that are FREE!!! I also believe there is a website as well.

Slacked on this yesterday because I walked away and forgot my trusty water bottle at home and today I have it sitting here but haven't filled it yet....UGH!!! I know there's water in the large hot tea I drank this morning but it just isn't the same.

I'm up at 5 am when hubby's alarm goes off and then again when the dog jumps in bed to take hubby's place  My alarm goes off at 6:00 a.m., bedtime is between 11-1 AM.

I'm about 64 lbs. from a "healthy weight" (and that's the high end). I started the 30DS yesterday. Let me tell you ~ I'm sore today (using 3# weights) and it was a little rough but the workout is only 20 minutes long with an additional few minutes for the warm up and cool down session. If I can manage it you should be able…

I SURVIVED (BARELY), got up this morning and did my C25K program and was feeling ambitious so did the 30DS about 2 hours later....my hips/legs are still sore from the C25K so all those lunges were killing me but the worst part were those push ups and the bouncing around (i.e. jumping jacks, butt kicks). 29 more days!!!!
-
OMG Day 1 ~ I nearly didn't survive. My legs/hips are still are little stiff from the C25K and my arms and shoulders are so WEAK (tendonitis in wrists doesn't help) but I DID survive and will be back at it tomorrow!!!

Not very comfortable with the picture posting as I still avoid cameras at all costs. But I will take a picture and decide after the 30 days if I want to share it.

This, I bought a 32 oz. reusable bottle with a straw from Walmart and keep it with me at all times at work. I need to buy another for my house.

I will def check into the Podcasts especially FREE ones. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE FREE-LOL!!! Day 2 of C25K went well, so well in fact that during the 5 minute cool down I keep jogging and continued an additional 15 minutes walking/jogging since I was in a groove!!!
-
This intimidates me the most....but I'm going to give it my all!!!

My mom, sisters, and I do a yearly 5K for the local hospital which supports breast cancer, as I was doing my very first C25K this morning I was thinking wonder if I'll be able to jog/run it this year? Guess I should set it up as a goal ;-)

Not exactly sure what a Podcast is since I'm a relatively new iPod user. I downloaded the Couch to 5K program app from active.com for $.99 this morning. It's really simple to use. Your "trainer" tells you when to warm up, when to walk (1:30) and when to jog (1:00), when to cool down etc. I could still listen to my own…

My name is Christina (everyone calls me Chrissy). I'm a 36 year old mother of two young boys, my oldest will be 4 in April my youngest will be 2 end of January. Married to my high school sweetheart 10 years TODAY. I've spent my 20's and most of my 30's overweight...'I'M READY TO CHANGE THAT." I found MFP quite a while ago…
-
Planning on doing the 30DS on Jan 2 as well and C25K 3x per week.
-
I would say use MFP stats and deduct 10% and not eat all of the calories back. Nice burn!!!
