I get bugged on my trail runs when 2-3 walkers are walking side by side, chatting up a storm and dont make any effort to make room in the narrower portions of the trail. There is no way to get by without running into overgrowth or thorns.BTW, in the more open parts, I dont mind leaving the trail and running around them.

I have to distract my mind with a book or tv set on a timer. When I outlast the timer, I reset it again. If I start thinking about the next day, what needs to be done, etc ... it'll be a long night!

I just signed myself up for a marathon and asking myself the same question, LOL. I did a 11.5 mile tough mudder Aug 24th. There is a group http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/6432-spartans-mudders-warriors-oh-my- To really enjoy the day, be in decent shape for your events hardship: 1) Make sure the run isnt a problem,…

When my achilles was an issue in the beginning of the year, I changed my exercises. I was able to do push ups, sit ups, bench press, rows .... the list can go on. FYI, I took two months off my HIIT exercises and it wasnt better, I finally took the prescribed anti inflammitory (I resist taking medicine) and it felt much…

This show has done an unbelievable job of pulling the rug out from under me, its silly to even try to guess what is going to happen but ..... We know Walter ends up at some point in New Hampshire from previous episode (season 4). This is probably where he is relocated initially. Time passes, its when he turns 51 because he…

I had a tear in my left menicus, I started to train for a marathon, the pain got worse, it started to hurt to walk so I had surgery. The surgery went well, I was up in no time. The Dr told me after the surgery that my knee was in great shape, shiny ligaments, only early arthritis looked like a possibility. It was good to…

The trails were the hardest part by far, every step you had to be careful not to wipe out. As slick as it was, when you went down, you went down hard. Ran into several people in the parking lot after, they said it was the hardest run of the 4 tough mudders they have been to, good for you for sucking it up !

I was 6 miles away. We could see the smoke, tried calling friends but the network was over loaded. Everyone was so worried about friends and relatives, crazy few days. I think about 2 friends that passed, on Christmas, 4th of July picnics, whenever .... ripped out of life. I have had 12 Christmas with my kids since ....…

I work out with a group of guys 35-47 M, W, F 5:40am that mostly do Hiit and then head to work. Its difficult to exercise after work because of kids activities. Here are a few 1) Plate pushes are just awesome for legs, hips, shoulder stability and breathe, we do them on a synthetic turf that adds friction. All you need is…

A few thoughts: 1) I saw a mom run around a high school track with a baby in a portable play pen that had a shade protector, set up and breakdown in no time. She had a little boy who threw a ball against the wall by the pen. 2) Even if its not ideal, HIIT exercises, with body weight and even inexpensive (yard sale) weights…

This really hot mom was walking through our row and was losing her balance and reached up to grab my arm to catch herself and said omg ... nice arms. I admit it, i was totally psyched

Its common and understandable for manufacturers to void warranties for product altered by non authorized dealers. If you think you may send it in, dont work on it yourself

I just complete a tough mudder in Pittsburgh. It was fun and team building. The running segment is the hardest part, its 18km (10-12 miles), its like a half marathon. Depending when you start there maybe a back up at the obstacles, there may not be. We went early so we really didnt wait at all which meant more continuous…

Bummer ........ at a convenience store I ate one that wasn't that cold and was soupy/already mixed (I mentioned it a week ago in another thread). I buy them at Costco, no weird lids. I am going to keep eating them, they appear (i hope) to be doing the right thing.
