  • I highly recommend going on Youtube and searching for Fitness Blender. The videos are free and range from short to long workouts. The variety is fantastic ranging from yoga to kettlebell to HIIT routines. I lost 37 lbs without a gym doing mostly Jillian Michaels videos, TaeBo, running, and Fitness Blender.
  • Nice job on the pushups!
  • I have 8 Jillian videos and love it. I actually did not like the Hard Body one as well since it seemed to stray from her normal routine even though its a great workout. All of her videos are great!!!
  • Thank you for sharing...Yay!!!!
  • How old are you? 35 How tall?5' 3" How what is your weekly weight loss goal? .5 What is your calorie goal per day? 1600ish...TDEE -10 to 20% Only 6 lbs left to hit my goal..yay.
  • Hi there, I am a homeschooling momma too! I just looked through your diary and it looks really really good, but I am not a professional. My only wonder since the scale is not moving is, do you feel like you are completely accurate in your logging? or what if your actual activity level is different than what you calculated…
  • I add 2 TBS of Hershey's Dark Cocoa, adds fiber, better flavor and about 20 cals. My favorite way is Ice, protein powder, almond milk, 1/2 an avocado, cocoa, and flax seed. Smooth, chocolatey, and creamy with a little bit of texture..but not so low cal!!
  • Not really a food but can't say no to coffee creamer in my coffee....so sad that I can't let it go...YET!
  • Any of the Biggest Loser Dvd's should work well as show people of all fitness levels doing them and were intended to help those with bigger amounts of weight to lose! You are doing such a fantastic job!
  • I bought one and love it, I bought the Fitbit One. It seems overall to do a good job of tracking, although I am not so sure it gives an accurate read for a high intensity workout. If you don't care to monitor your sleep patterns, go for the Fitbit Zip. I wish I had either just bought that one or waited for the upcoming…
  • If you haven't used them all yet, dice those babies up small and freeze them. Its fantastic to just pour a few out of the freezer bag into soups, salads, omelets, etc. This makes me happy since it does not require chopping EVERY TIME I need one.
  • I believe allrecipes.com has a recipe for making it. It was fairly simple if I recall. (well atleast the regular kind was on there..not so sure about the sugar free)
  • If you are referring to eating more fibrous foods than you are used to eating, yes they are quite filling and quite uncomfortable to get used to. And while I have never used OTC bloating / gas medicines Beano is always advertised, and I can tell you that your body will get used to the increased fiber. The discomfort will…
  • It's alright, tomorrow is a new day. Next time, blot the grease off.
  • 30 DS is more all over workout. Killer Buns and Thighs works mostly those two mentioned areas. It would be wise to rotate your videos after getting a feel for 30 day shred. They are all very different and will keep your body on its toes. I just did NMTZ tonight after doing various other Jillian Michaels workouts for months…
  • I did BUTT BIBLE and wow does it make the booty burn! Great suggestion.
  • I love to take the Body Fortress Protein Powder in chocolate, add a tablespoon of Hershey's special dark cocoa(the unsweetened kind for baking) 1 cup of vanilla almond milk, a handful of ice and blend! Really good with a couple tbsp of peanut butter but of course that ups the cals. 250 without pb 450 with 2 tbsp pb
  • This is how I've started loving a ton of veggies...though not with the balsamic. EVOO and salt and pepper, sometimes garlic. There are charts online and in cookbooks that tell you what herbs go with what veggies. Roasted is the way to go!
  • I ate a healthy lunch instead of pizza rolls! Carrots, grape tomatoes, kiwi, and cheddar cheese!
  • I did 45 minutes of Jillian's Extreme Shed and Shred...I plan on being more consistent in my workouts and rotating Jillian's DVD's. I have almost every dvd of hers.
  • lunges without weights kill me..lol. I HATE lunges!
  • From one homeschooler to another, Kudos to you for fitting it in when you can! You are not being idle with your time in any way ! Would love to lift weights!
  • Loving the superset fork setdowns and chair pushbacks comment but would like to know what some great ab exercises would be in addition to the controlled eating and cardio.
  • I can't manage to get moving very early so early afternoon seems to be my workout time. I like the tae bo videos a lot. This is after all of their school work is done. Now, as soon as I get myself motivated I will be up and out the door BEFORE school to get some running in.
  • Both have incredible and equal opportunities. BUT to say that an informally trained- in- education parent cannot successfully educate a child is ridiculous. The public school systems continue to fail as children are "conformed" to a standard that doesn't work. Many become lost in paperwork and achieving scores as a school…
  • BMR is like you doing absolutely nothing at all but breathing. So 1200 is far below what you really burn by moving around throughout the day.
  • J' adore...I love it.
  • Definitely Aldi...the produce is great for much cheaper than Walmart. I am in Illinois so it may be a little cheaper here but this week there are a lot of really good deals on what I would call salad vegetables. Bagged salad is 80 cents, 3 pack of colored peppers for 1 dollar, 14 oz of broccoli crowns for 70 cents, 2 lb…
  • My kids love those too. My youngest loves the homemade greek yogurt with a tad of powdered sugar and mini chocolate chips. That one will eat every fruit but oranges. The oldest two are a product of my much less healthier diets and are far more difficult to switch over to the healthy snacks.
  • I love to peel and cube , toss with olive oil and cajun seasoning, and bake until crisp on the outside and tender in the middle..anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes depending on your cube size. My favorite way to eat them.
