I agree with getting your feet analyzed FIRST! When I had mine checked, I am found to be overpronated which Asics have specific models for me. Doesn't matter what the price is, if it doesn't fit right then you are wasting your $$$. I had paid $$$ for Nikes and they never fit correctly and my feet were always sore so…

No, I take the week off! Like you, I get the cramps, and also bloating, etc. Besides, when I come back to the gym after a week off, I feel like I get a better workout and my muscles are sooooo sore the next few days. I think taking a week off every month actually helps me.....

My son is with the Gracie Jiu Jitsu studio - he's been doing it for almost 2 years ( he's 6 yrs old ) The cost is about $135.00 a month - 3 sessions a week ( 50 minutes each ) so while it does get expensive ( buying the GI and other stuff, tournaments and special functions ) its also a commitment for life. As the…

I TOTALLY agree with that statement and I used to do the same thing. Ask 20 different people what shoes to recommend and you will get many different answers - not necessary right for YOU..... I paid $89.00 for my Asics and with all of the personal attention and professional fitting - was totally worth it!

Everyone's feet are different and need to be checked, "professionally" Go to a running store and have them evaluated on their equipment that checks gait, etc I did and was fitted with Asics Landreth 7 - I have over pronated feet. Since ALL shoe makers are different, I didn't realize I had been wearing the wrong kind all my…

My trainer told me that an average person burns about 100 calories every ten minutes. I just use that as a guideline and usually go on the "lesser" amount than higher. For example, I usually put down 400 calories burned for a 50 minute class - just because I don't think I am working "as hard" as I probably should be......…

I drink 8-12 cups a day and have not found that it makes me lose any more or less. I just love the taste of it and I have been a green tea drinker for a very long time.

Fresh fruit especially if bought at a farmers market can go a long way - both financially and nutritionally

Ive been logging for a year. Although I am pretty much at my goal on weight loss, I am still doing it to stay consistent and not gain back. Plus I would still like to lose one more size to get to my original size by doing weight training ( since September ) and cardio to tone up. Feel free to add me! BTW - my overall goal…

Sorry but injecting the urine of post menopausal women is enough to just say no! I've lost 24 pounds last year ALL through diet and exercise - nothing is impossible and only possible if YOU want it to be. Good luck!

I have the C1250 treadmill model with ifit technology built in - 10 inch color screen. Yes, ITS GREAT! I got it in July of last year - lots of programable workouts with Jillian Michaels as well. I love the google live view maps where you can draw your own maps and also use the ones programmed in there. I also did my first…

I usually tell people that I AM ALLERGIC ( insert offending food here ) I have only told my closest friends I am dieting - people somehow unintentionally think THEY know whats best for you, your diet, etc So to not offend anyone, the "Allergy" card almost always works.....

GREAT job!!!!! You look fabulous!

Thanks everyone! I don't know why the last pic is so tiny - it was from my camera phone. Thanks for all the advice - its hard to tone up - its taken me almost a year to get to the weight loss. I am doing weight training at my gym ( 3 times a week for an hour class ) I had a before and after body fat test done - originally…

Thanks! USER FAIL! :noway:

I often break up my walks too ( 30 minutes in the am and 30 minutes at night ) I think the more important question is, how much calories you are exerting. Do you walk slowly? Moderate? The way I gauge mine is to keep my heart rate up to 155 bpm ( yours may be different depending on age/weight, etc ) and the way I can do…

I would try and see about joining a gym close by. Then you can workout and hopefully by the time you are done, the traffic commute will be less and it won't take you as long.

Sure why not? If you have a smart phone with any of the apps ( my favorite is cardio trainer ) I usually set it with the GPS on and track my miles. It ALL adds up! Have fun!
-
I love it! It gives me the motivation to keep going. I highly recommend it! What's nice is being able to draw your own maps ( or download pre-made ones ) and do the Google live view. Did yours come built in or do you need to buy the module, programs, etc?

No one else?

Thank you. Are you doing this program as well?

Android. Most of the apps are FREE whereas iphone usually charges .99 cents or more.... My hubby has iphone, I have Android and most of the apps he has, I got for free.

When I go to Joes, I order the steampots - any crab just steamed, no butter added. The meal with corn and red potatoes is usually under 600 calories

That is surprising and although I am NOT a vegetarian, it would seem to me that a lot of products have stuff like that in them unless it specifically says, Vegan/Vegetarian. On another note, do you wear contacts? One of my girlfriends had to stop using a certain contact lens cleaner/solution ( sorry, don't know the type…

I know someone who did it and lost a lot of weight but, 500 calories a day? That's just too crazy! Plus, its not safe!!!! Why not just make it permanent and lose the weight as a part of a healthy lifestyle? There are no quick fixes in life my dear. Just stick to a nutritious healthy eating plan, exercise and dedicate…

I have the same problem..... The legs and butt become too big so I stick with the size even if it gives me muffin top. I imagine, eventually that part will go away soon.........

Muscle weighs MORE than fat........ So if you are lifting weights, you are probably gaining muscle. And, 1200 calories is probably NOT ENOUGH especially if you are exercising. MOST people ( especially if they exercise ) need a lot more calories than that to keep fueled. I try and not weigh myself and rely mostly on the…
