This is super interesting, but now makes me wonder how I figure out if I've got proportionately short tibia...

I just checked on Garmin Connect and it says my max heart rate from my runs has been 185, but I swear on my watch I've seen it get over 220. Looks like I don't know that much either! haha

I can totally relate to what you're saying here! When I calculated my target heart rate, it also put me at a pace that I could walk at. Since then I've been able to increase my pace by a minute. I, too, have noticed how much longer I'm able to run at a slower pace, it's incredible. I have heard that using the standard…

Just out of curiosity, does this percentage change depending on the distance you are training for? I was looking over the Higdon Half-Marathon plans after reading some of the posts here and the majority of the weeks the long runs are 40%+ of the total weekly mileage...

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue. Between the rubbing from the bra and the heart rate monitor it gets hard to focus on running when all I can think about is how much my chest/ribs hurt. I was buying my sports bras at Marshalls and TJ Maxx, but I think now I'll try spending a little more to see if it will help…

I got there a little late last week so I didn't have a chance to ask questions and find out how things work, but I'm hoping I'll make it earlier today to get some more information about the program. This MFP group came pretty much at the…

Hi there! I've had this issue as well and my personal trainer suggested a couple of things. One was just to set the weight down and let the hands and forearms take a mini-break, or, she suggested using wrist straps (see link below) so it will take the burden of the weight off of the hands and forearms. I haven't had a…

I've been exercising with kettlebells for around seven months now and the change that I've seen in my body is incredible. I have muscles, I feel strong, and you can see the definition all over my body. As I'm sure many others have said, I believe its worth it to work with a trainer one or two times so you can make sure you…
