She is not actually trying. She "blows it off or says I'm over reacting" - she is disrespecting you and telling you that you cannot trust your own interpretation of things. She is belittling how you feel and ignoring all the evidence that you have lost a lot of weight. She may be your mom, but I am sure you can find other…

My hubby said "When you lose, I win" - meaning "you will be around longer if you are healthy" :-)

I like the song - but I also agree with this poster.

I started with Leslie Sansone videos (some purchased, most viewed on YouTube) and now I am on to FitnessBlender.com videos. I bought their .pdf for 4 week Fat Loss for Low Impact or Beginner - worth every penny to know exactly what workouts to do (no brainer!)

I use Body Glide and/or compression shorts (just above the knee, not the shorties)

I'm 49 and working out at home with FitnessBlender videos (dumbbells and bodyweight) some day I hope to advance to lifting heavy :-)

I was waiting for this!! :-)

I'm married to a Quebecer - I have a son going to school in Montreal and a senior in high school (girl) who is interested in art school in Ontario. I'm the only one of the four of us who is not a dual citizen. We live near Boston MA in the US

I am very glad to hear that you are supervised by a doctor. I have known a few people that have incredible amounts of weight to lose who have been on a medical supervised fast. Still, I can't help but worry about people doing VLCD because the world is full of food and our bodies have become very good at avoiding…

You can search videos on FitnessBlender.com - I like them a lot and there are so many!

I would sit down with your husband and let him know that, while you appreciate the concern, the way he is doing it is having the opposite effect. (It's bringing on a case of the "*kitten* You"s). Perhaps you and he can work out ways that he can be supportive - cooking a healthy meal together, walking or other exercise…

Just remember - approach yoga from where you are. Clumsy, overweight, stiff joints, thoughts too active to sit in meditation? They are all welcome. My sister is a yoga teacher and some people have told her they can't do yoga because they are not flexible. For her, that's like saying "I can't clean my house, because it is…

YES! YES! YES! I get angry when I order what I think is reasonable at a restaurant, find out later it is a day's worth of calories and it didn't even taste good! (I guess that's reason not to go back to that restaurant)

I use Leslie Sanson videos on YouTube and I am just finishing up a 4 week program from FitnessBlender.com. It cost me $5 for the .pdf that tells me which workouts to do Good luck in your weight loss journey! Remember - you may feel self-conscious about yourself, but people are looking at you a lot less than you think. Many…

I agree with marciebrian - 60lbs is a great accomplishment! Don't underestimate what it takes to KEEP that off! I am keeping off 40, but I have been unable to get below 170 when I would like to shoot for 140. I am currently doing Fitness Blender's 4 week Fat Loss for Beginners found here…

This^ I lost a good bit when I had excess to spare. As I have gotten down closer to my goal, my body is resistant to losing weight. I have increased my calorie goal and yet my body is still maintaining within 1-2 lbs of my current weight.

I've been on both sides of this situation. For myself, it took about 30 lbs lost before some of my closest friends at work commented. For coworkers who don't see me all the time, they noticed the difference right away, because the change appeared more drastic to them. Whether I have noticed another co-worker's weight loss…

Love it!

I've been on a plateau for the last 4 months or so. Sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your body. I can tell you that hating my body only resulted in putting back everything I lost plus some more. I was over 200 lbs and I thought how I hated myself at 155 and then really was disgusted at myself at 172. I am back at…

Thanks smpreston and OP - just what I needed today!
