  • I have the same problem...diet is the hard part for me. I played 42 minutes of ball hockey tonight with an avg heart rate of 160. Using a typical online calories burned calculator, I burned 735 Cals. not sure how accurate that is... Tom
  • using the HRM for strength training will be fine for helping you calculate calories burned. It doesn't matter what type of exercise you are doing, using a HRM to help calculate your calories burned will help give you a good ballpark number.
