Well done on your weight loss so far. Also have 50+ lbs to lose.

I hope to make much use of the trainer, my fitness is important and am not trying to make excuses, honest and I haven't taken it harshly, but we are all different, personally, I really struggle to cycle in 40+ degree heat, even at 7am it was 40 degrees today. I am sticking to my exercise videos and fitting in classes where…

Will be shopping around and need to convince the husband to buy the best one we can afford but will look into the wahoo kickr. Temperature is stupid hot at the moment, last week was 50-52 degrees and this week it's a cooler 46-48, I will be directly underneath the air-con! Thanks for the advice.

Thank you gentlemen for the advice, have ended up with a Suunto Quest......very cheap in the sale here, am easily swayed by a bargain!! It's actually pretty good. Can be used for all exercise with the added GPS pod for cycling and running and syncs to Strava so am itching to get out on my bike to see how it goes.…

This may mean it's no good for me then, I live in the Middle East, temps are up around 33 degrees already and sweating profusely is gonna mean it may not stick? Thanks for your input.

Will take a look and see if I can get that here. Thanks

Reading all these quotes has helped. I am a weigh three times a week kinda girl, can't help it but you're right, living in the desert, my water weigh flutuates hugely so should stick to once a week weigh and go by my measurements and not what it says on the scales. I don't post on the forum often but knew after feeling so…

Thanks for this, it makes more sense than me trying to run continually :-)

You made me smile for the first time today. Lol, thanks :-)

Hi, Yes I measure and weigh everything that passes my lips, include my alcohol on weekends and even the chocolate I sneaked from the kids treat box. I don't eat back my calories. I struggle to eat the 1700 a day I am supposed to eat. I work out between 30-75mins 6 days a week. Calories burned are calculated from my HRM. If…

Thank you, fab advice and you totally get why I am trying to run, think I'll set my goal to a 5k race and if I achieve that and finally get to enjoy running, then do a 10k.

Great motivation and advice, thank you

Thank you, maybe I need to find others to run with....may help, If I can talk all the way round then running may not seem so arduous.
