It's a rough way to live, I'll tell ya that much.

Ohhhh so good!! I live in Canada though and can't get that here :( I also love diet wild cherry pepsi which I can't get here either. :(

In order of deliciousness: 1. Coke Zero 2. Pepsi Max 3. Diet Pepsi 4. Diet Coke

After my first child, I didn't find it harder. After my second child, I have definitely found it much harder.

Thanks :)

When you feel like giving up, think about why you started.

I used to do that on the weekends, and then it started getting harder and harder to "get back on the wagon" on Mondays. And I was eating more and more on the weekends. So I had to stop. So now on the weekends I will allow myself to eat at around my maintenance calories, so I'm getting a little bit more but not going over…

Parts of both I guess. Why?

Zucchini topped with a little parmesan cheese and baked/broiled. Delicious!

Roasted peppers with olive oil. So good! You can stuff them as well, if you'd like.

I get confused about eating/not eating below my BMR as well, but mainly because I have gotten a range of answers from different BMR calculators. I've been told anywhere from 1900-2150. I know it's just an estimate but it's making me confused about what my calorie intake should be. MFP has it at 1820 (to lose 1lb a week)…

So this woman is purposely gaining weight just so she can lose it? And that is supposed to show the world, what? That because she can do it, that means there is no excuse for anyone to be fat? I find this quite upsetting. I will be the first to admit that it is my own fault for being obese, and only I can do something to…

The school my friend's son attends (my daughter will be going there next year) has a strict food policy. She is not allowed to send anything deemed "unhealthy" (chocolate, candy, anything like that) for her son for lunch. If there is "contraband" in his lunch, they send a note telling her to ensure that he has only healthy…

Try to spin it into a good thing. You said you are notorious for having no will power....just think about it as you're practicing your willpower. Sounds lame, but maybe it'll help. Every time you resist the candy, you win!

I got a Fitbit a week and a half ago and so far it's been awesome. It has definitely helped to increase my movement.

I agree with this.

I believe the OP is not just asking why people gain the weight back. She is asking why they gain the weight back PLUS extra.
-
Can't speak for everyone, but for me it was because I was on a "diet" that was far too restrictive, and as a result, when I finally couldn't do it anymore, I binged. So I gained the weight I lost back, plus extra due to the binge.

I lost 63lbs in 7 months through Weight Watchers and the only exercise I did was 10-15 minutes on the elliptical 2-3 days a week which is not much at all. (Disclaimer: I gained it all back, but it was because I "fell off the wagon" and fell back into my old eating habits).
-
I've tried it a few times and always lost weight, the most being 63lbs. I gained it back every time because I stopped counting points, and started eating more again. Which isn't Weight Watchers fault. It's just a different way to achieve a calorie deficit. It is sustainable for some and not for others, just like everything…

This.

I sympathize, I have fallen off the wagon more times than I can count. Have you tried something a little less restrictive? It might help you stay on the wagon. Just suggesting it because that's been a huge part of my problem...being too restrictive and therefore being unable to stick to it. Good luck! :)

Your best bet would be to buy a food scale and weigh everything before you eat it, so you can be sure you aren't overestimating your calorie intake. Protein shakes can be good if you need to get more protein into your diet, but they shouldn't really replace meals. Best of luck :)

Did you tell him you didn't like what he said? That it hurt/offended you? When my husband hurts my feelings or pisses me off, I tell him. If I upset him, he tells me. Then we talk about it and move on. Hopefully he was just trying to be helpful!

I have to agree with what everyone else is saying. I understand that counting calories, weighing and measuring everything you eat can be tedious and thinking that you will have to do that until you reach your goal weight and beyond is a bit disheartening to think about. But if you want to lose weight, that's just reality.…

What are the extra vitamins they will give you? Just curious.

If it's within your calorie budget, there's nothing wrong with eating before bed. I snack quite a bit in the evenings, but I save the calories for it.

I love mine. I agree, go to a running store and try some on. They are expensive, but running shoes are definitely worth the cost.

Yeah, I'm in a local Facebook weight loss group and there's always the typical "buzz" words going around there. "Cleanse", "detox", "clean eating", advice to eat several small meals a day, stop eating after a certain time, only eat carbs at certain times of the day (and these are said as though they are a proven method of…

I am in almost the same situation. I'm just a little bit taller than you and am shooting for 150-160. I have no time frame though. I'm kind of worried about excess skin as well, but truth be told I'd way rather be a healthy weight with loose skin than the size I am now. I have heard weight lifting can help with that, so…
