I have both a polar ft4 and a Fitbit One. I love them both! But if I had to choose, my heart belongs to my fitbit.

Food scale, Fitbit, MFP.

I have 5 or 6 people on fb who sell It Works. The before and after pictures are ridiculous. They all periodically post selfies with their index finger up (#1) and the caption "it starts with 1! Join my team!" And they do not have business pages, it's always on their personal pages. I've had to hide the. From my newsfeed. I…

I would agree with that. But I think exercise makes it easier to stay on track, at least for me. It allows me to eat a little more, and it occupies my mind/time more, meaning less room for boredom eating. It's also great for my mental health.

Wow, this is kind of scary. I have a couple of Young Living consultants on my Facebook and they talk about ingesting the oils all the time, and their children too! They even give "recipes" for different things like weight loss and such. I have never and would never buy any, it's not my thing. But it's scary that they…

A girl I work with did this as well. She lost a lot of weight, but gained it all back and then some when she got tired of it. And it sounded horrible to me.

It keeps me extremely motivated, which makes it 100% worth it for me. I started with the Flex but switched to a One because I didn't like having it on my wrist all the time. I love it. When I started I was getting 5000-6000 steps a day, now I'm averaging 15,000-20,000. They are not perfect, they are not 100% accurate, but…

Way too restrictive for me.

Huge waste of money. You can achieve the same goal with real food. It'll taste better and be much cheaper. Weight loss does NOT have to cost anything extra beyond your day to day living expenses.

I have several on my FB (one joined and recruited the rest) and this is the stuff I see CONSTANTLY. Well I did before I hid them all from my newsfeed. Did you know cheat days don't count if you have Fat Fighters??! One "wrapped" her chin. The "after" picture was very obviously her just sticking her chin out more to reduce…

Mine is open to friends. I don't have any desire to open it to everyone, especially after reading some comments in here, and seeing how many people have had rude comments made about their diaries!

5'7" and 222lbs. I eat 1700-1800 per day.

I guess it's possible to be in the negative everyday...but why would you want to do that to your body?!

All canned soups (or at least the vast majority of them) have lots of sodium. I eat canned soup once a week or so, I try not to more often than that due to the crazy sodium. But once a week isn't a big deal to me.

I know all about emotional eating, so I totally sympathize. Replace the emotional eating with exercise. It helps so much more, and is actually good for you. You'll just feel worse if you eat your feelings.
-
I feel like a whole day is excessive...but lots of people seem to make it work I guess. I indulge in higher calorie meals when special occasions pop up. Maybe once a month? But other than that, I try my best to fit things I want into my regular calorie budget.

I went to an Arbonne party and they tried hard to sell me on their expensive weight loss products and 28 day detox. I don't know if what the consultant told us about weight loss is what Arbonne tells all their consultants to say...but it was the biggest load of crap I've heard in a long time.

I replace mine every year and they usually cost about $150-$160 (Saucony Hurricanes. I'm in Canada). But this year I got them on sale for $99, score!

Exercise of any kind. Walking, running, weight lifting, anything. I am a huge stress/emotional eater and while it's taken time, I've started turning to exercise instead of food in times of stress. It's so much better, and helps way more than food does.

Hips and thighs. And my damn arms.

3.5 months, down 38.8lbs so far.

I've been getting comments everyday at work for the past couple of weeks, from different people. I personally love hearing it. My favourite one was one of the guys here, he's super fit and always at the gym when I am (we have a gym at work). He is a quiet, more serious kind of guy. He came up to me and said "I've been…

Nope. And I've made no secret of the fact that I weigh and measure everything I eat. (Except when eating out at restaurants or something). I am lucky and everyone has been very supportive, especially my husband. Neither of my children have noticed, or asked about it.

A coworker of mine did this a few years ago. If I remember correctly (the OP can correct me if I'm wrong) it's a super low calorie diet restricting many foods, and you also get vitamin injections. She did it for maybe 6 months, lost a lot of weight and a TON of money, and gained it all back and then some shortly after.

For our family of 4 (2 adults, a 4 year old and almost 2 year old), we spend $125 a week. And once a month I spend about $150 at Costco as well.

This!!! I have several acquaintances that sell It Works and that Thrive stuff or whatever it's called. I hate those companies so much. Save your money and put it towards a gym membership. Or good quality shoes and work out clothes. Or normal food. Or a pony.

Just because a celebrity did it, doesn't mean it should be done. Of course you will lose weight eating that little, but you aren't giving your body the fuel it needs, especially a large guy like Penn. I doubt it would be sustainable long term for most people. Unless you are very short and petite, you shouldn't eat that…

Congrats!! You're doing great!!

I weigh myself every morning, but only log it once a week.

I'm in Canada, and have been to the states many times...prices are not as low up here! A 4L jug of milk (which I believe is the same size as a gallon) is about $4 where I live. A carton of eggs is $2-$5, depending on brand. Farmer's markets (at least where I live) are awesome, though definitely not cheaper. So it's more…
