I never have liked meat very much, just not interested, but you should Google some substitutes or something to make sure you still get your needed protein. I try to substitute things for meat and try to eat more fruits and veggies...

Pasta and chocolate.

WOW!

5'8 here and GW is 120-130lbs. Anything lower and I'd look too sickly.
-
I've been averaging about 1500 here lately and I thought I was eating too much then. That makes a lot of sense though.

I COMPLETELY agree! I think that every time I add my cardio. It's way too high compared to what my machines say. I do like Runtastic.... It seems more reliable if you're just walking or running.
-
What group?? :D
-
Yeah, because I like to be right on the dot and as accurate as possible.
-
Yeah, I've tried it. I for a while was only doing free weights and machines, and just walking almost everyday with my family. I feel like I'm just one big excuse and I'm not looking for one, which is why I feel like I need to suck it up and ask a doctor what the heck I am doing wrong.
-
Feel free to add me too.

My mom sounds pretty close to that description and I eventually just had to ignore her after I set her straight. You're an adult and do not have to take that kind of disrespect.
-
Ross, Wal-Mart, sometimes Target if they're on CHEAP clearence, but mostly the thrift store because they're in my favored price range! Every once in a while, I like Ebay.

Chocolate, chips, pop, etc. are my enimies... I have sweet TEETH...

It depends on much more than just your distance (stride, incline, weight, etc.)... It's what you accomplished during that distance is what counts. Try Runtastic, it's an app you can download and it syncs with you MFP account and seems to be pretty accurate if you're looking for a second opinion.
-
5'8 here... I may be a shorty compared to you all lol.
-
She sounds like she knows it all... *rolls eyes*

I'm not a vegan or anything strict like that, but I do tend to avoid eating meat. I just have never been that fond of it, kind of picky. I'm a secret Italian, I like the pastas...
-
Awesome... Maybe I will investigate this and try it myself lol.
-
I totally understand. I think I worded it wrong... More like, did you take pictures and see results? LOL... That's great. How is the ab challenge working? I was debating that too, but didn't know if I would overdo it or not by taking on more than one challenge.

5'8. SW: 177lbs CW: 174lbs GW: 120lbs Hourglass shaped.

I understand where you're coming from, but at the same time, I think it depends on how far someone goes to tell someone who has lost weight how well they look. A simple, "Wow, you look great!" or "You look happier these days!" is a great compliment without insulting someone, I'd hope... Some people are too sensitive and…

Have you heard of Runtastic? It's a great app and it's free! It also syncs up to MFP for you too.

Just remember that eating a treat that lasts for a minute probably won't be worth you working it off for an hour later that day. You don't want to just break even, you want to break through.
-
I use it everyday to track my distance and calories burned when I go walking and/or biking (there's one for that too) and it does okay, I think. I like that it automatically updates and posts to MFP.
-
I'm on daily and post frequently.
-
That is great! The only reason I'd be crying after a mile is because I would feel like I'm close to dying. I have to walk most of it lol.
-
This is the first week that I've started losing weight (first week that I've really cracked down). My starting weight was 177lbs and today it's 174lbs. I'd like to be 115lbs-120lbs. *looks down long mental road*
-
I think it depends on how much your daily intake is. I've heard that too about breakfast, but it depends daily for me. Mine at the moment is 1500 daily and it's usually: Breakfast: 300 Lunch:300-500 Dinner: 500-600 Snack: 100-200
-
I was wondering that myself this week, but I've decided to ignore it, because the only reason why I'm over my sugar intake is due to eating a cup or two of fruits in the morning for breakfast. I pay more attention to my calorie and carb intake and I've still lost weight.

You can add me if you'd like.
