  • I'm on Week 5 of C25K. If you want to be a runner, start here. I have tried c25k before and was using my watch to keep track of time. So complicated and annoying. This time I bought the "get running" app for $3 and it's made all the difference. People will tell you there are free apps out there but this paid app is soooo…
  • I would sit down with him and talk about why you want to run and what it means to you. Explain to him that you understand he wants to run as well and that it's hard for him to see you running. Tell him that you aren't doing it for any other reason other than for yourself. To be honest with you, I know where he is coming…
  • We have a public radio iPAD thing in my gym where you can change the radio station or turn up the volume and it plays over the entire room. I'm totally fine with that because most of the time I'm watching TV or listening to my music. But there is a set of girls who come around the same time as me(I've stop going to the gym…
  • Just stare back. Gotta show em' who's boss...and it's really fun to see people get super uncomfortable in an insanely short amount of time.
  • I'm looking to lose around 50 lbs as well. Add me if you want :D
  • I don't use the stuff but I know a lot of people do. When I was in high school and played sports, I would eat a power bar after my practices so I'd assume a shake would be the same.
  • This is what I have been doing and it has helped a lot. I've only been doing it for around a month so I'm excited to see long term results. First is walking and running. Both help shred fat in the legs and butt. Second is having my husband massage my thighs and butt every night before bed with some random lotion I have. He…
  • I just started Week 4 today. My background with running is this: in high school I was a sprinter. I could go really fast for a really short amount of time. I couldn't run a mile. I played volleyball, ran track and danced. Couldn't run a mile to save my life. Decided to try out c25k. I ran in 3 and 5 minute increments…
  • I just have a reward for the end goal which is a new wardrobe. I'm very excited for it! I'm mostly excited for the fact that I'm counting on being there by July and that's swimsuit season and I love the water. YAY for new suits. Also, an exercise goal is to become a runner. And I'm working on it. But I'm going to reward…
  • All time favorite goes to the Honeycrisp.
  • Finished Wk2 Day2 today and I do it outside and there are some major hills! Today was rough but Day 1 of Wk2 was easy. An awesome MFP told me that some days are easier than others, even if your doing the same thing. Sometimes you just have an off day :)
  • I'm a walker and runner and I put it in my tunebelt or my jacket pocket.
  • I have almost flat feet as well and tend to overpronate. Asics rubbed my feet raw in some places. The only athletic shoe I wear are Brooks Adrenaline GTS 11. They are simply the best. They don't have a lot of fancy colors or anything but your feet will feel like they are running on marshmellows. They are also a bit steep…
  • 7? I can't really tell because I can't see your face or anything.
  • Maybe he just wants you to do something for him. Wasn't there some book about the different kinds of love or something? I don't know. My husband doesn't boss me around but he appreciates when I cook for us because its like I did it for him(I did it cuz I was hungry but he can think whatever he wants lol). Maybe try cooking…
  • Completely agree with Astrampe. My husband can sit around and eat cake, cookies, pizza, burgers, french fries, regular soda, candy, etc and not gain an ounce and still have a six pack and be in perfect health. Dirtbag husband!
  • Diet coke is "meh" for you. It may not deter you from losing weight but it's still unhealthy. So are most fruit juices...and milk(fat, sugar)...and alcohol. Water is best. I still have a Fresca every now and then but definitely not everyday.
  • Stop buying it. I haven't had cereal since fall of last year. I eat eggs, toast and fruit or oatmeal and fruit(with NO added sugar) for breakfast. I limit candy to once or twice a month in moderation. Thank God my husband and I like completely different kinds of candy. I buy 100% sprouted bread(0 sugar) and every now and…
  • I completely agree with alypri. Nutrisystem is a short term food solution and not long term. Learn to make your own meals and you can live this lifestyle forever. You should become best friends with your freezer :)
  • A lot of people substitute cauliflower for potatoes.
  • No help. I'm team MW all the way. :D
  • I was a "floater". I don't like to pigeonhole myself and liked all sorts of things. I listened to death metal and shopped at abercrombie. I also listened to the BSB and wore band tees. Sometimes I'd sit with the nerds, othertimes the jocks. I just do whatever the heck I want and don't care what people say. I can like and…
  • FRUIT YOU, MOTHERFRUITER! *I use the word fruit instead of the f bomb.
  • True. Wears sunglasses at night.
  • You have such a pretty complexion and your hair is really pretty!
  • When I tire out, it hits me like a ton of bricks. So by the time I need to stand, I'm exhausted and trembling so bad that I'm scared I'll fall off my bike. I think doing/interval and consistent hill work will help me. I just need to get over myself and understand that it's okay to get off and hoof it.
  • Thanks for the advice. I'm in the lowest gear(1:1) when I go up the hills but I tire out so fast. To the point where my neck and throat are on fire. There is a section of my street that is flat(in my area its almost impossible to avoid hills) so I'll do interval work there and there is a long but not extremely steep hill…
  • By carbs do you mean grains? If so just replace any grains with tons of veggies. For spaghetti, I replace noddles with zucchini and carrots. It's impossible to eliminate all carbs from your diet because veggies, fruit, meat all have carbs. But to be honest, good grains are important in your diet. Steel cut oatmeal, 100%…
