Jerky and a portioned out bag of nuts and water.

It's really dependent on your feet and how you walk/run. I have almost flat feet and I overpronate so my options are very limited. Only 2 and one of those rubs the inside of my foot badly. So I only have 1 brand/model of shoe that works for me and they can a bit pricey. But they have saved my knees and feet from certain…

About once a week I will have "junk" food. But even then I control the portion and what it is. Everything else I try to make myself. I have a dairy allergy so that helps with the junk food because most of it contains dairy. So if I want pizza, I have to make it. Therefore, it going to be healthier than ordering one. But…

Broth soup and crackers with peanut butter. Drink water and sometimes diet 7up. Hope you feel better soon.

I don't like fad diets. Do something you can stick with for the rest of your life. Don't do a diet to just help you lose weight. Do something you can do forever. Eat healthy, stay active.

I'm in the same boat. I never deprive myself but I don't feel like eating a spoon of peanut butter when I'm not hungry just to get my calorie count up. If I'm hungry, I eat. I also eat very healthy and get my protein, fat, simple and complex carbs and fiber. I'm not going to eat 90g of protein a day when I know that isn't…

I fruiting HATE Subway! You can make a far healthier and tastier sub/sandwich yourself for way less money. Sorry, just my opinion. However, put a Jimmy Johns in my line of sight and I could care less about nutrition and cost. I love me some JJs. :D

I watched and tried it...for like 2 days. Personally, I HATE cucumbers and found it difficult to find any juices that I liked. Also, my stomach hurt like a mother and felt horrible but I'm sure one gets past that. Honestly, I hated the juices. Another doc you should watch is Food Inc. That one inspired me more.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to try the overnight oats and pouring boiling water over the oats instead of cooking them. Also, I'll buy steel cut next time :)

Here are my normal breakfast options: 1. Ezekiel Toast with jam, egg, fruit, coffee 2. English muffin with turkey, egg and cheese and a piece of fruit and coffee 3. Green Monster and an egg or spoon of peanut butter 4. Coconut Milk Blueberry yogurt with a tbsp of flax meal and toast with PB 5. Flatbread burrito with egg,…

Coconut milk blueberry yogurt, almond milk, daiya cheese, shiritaki noodles, my homemade soups, green monster shakes, flax meal and premade falafel from WF!

While fruit is a whole food and should be eaten daily, I make sacrifices for it. For example: 1 serving of fruit and yogurt as my other high sugar source or 2 servings of fruit. So basically, I only eat foods that are high in sugar(10+) 2 times a day. Today for example, I had 2 servings of fruit today so that means no…

I workout in the morning so I'll eat my breakfast and wait about an hour and then go hit the gym/trail. Then I come home and eat a small snack. I used to workout then eat breakfast but I felt so nauseous/ exhausted afterwards that I would get really defeated in the long run. It was just too hard on my body.

I fly solo. I tried the whole buddy thing and it was horrible. The only time I like company is if I want to do relaxing exercise. Like walk leisurely with a friend and chit chat. But in my day to day routine...no thank you.

I've heard that whole eggs are bad for your cholesterol and I've also heard eggs can actually help reduce your bad cholesterol. You should go get your cholesterol checked and continue eating the eggs then have it rechecked in a month and see what happens. Personally, I love having eggs everyday. Yolk and all.

I only count added sugars for my daily sugar intake. I only eat 1 maybe 2 servings of fruit a day. So whatever my recommended sugar intake is, I only count added sugar like in almond milk, coconut milk yogurt(20g...yikes!) and juices(unless its fresh squeezed by you) for example.

I typically either eat an egg, fruit and toast or oatmeal with fruit for breakfast. Sometimes I make a mock egg mcmuffin by toasting an english muffin, frying an egg and heating up some turkey. I am starting to think I have a dairy allergy but I love yogurt so I'm going to try coconut milk yogurt today.

You could always make your own soup in large batches then freeze it in individual servings(ie: muffin pans) that way you can control the ingredients and save money too!

Safeway. Here is how a prepare them. Drain them and wash them with cold water. Boil them for around 3 minutes. Drain and squeeze out as much excess water as you can. Then I let them sit in the fridge overnight. The next day when I'm ready to eat them. I get a skillet hot with no oil or anything...just dry and "saute" them…

Tofu Shirataki Noddles- 20 cals and 2 carbs and taste just like pasta if made correctly

I don't pay attention to "organic" labels at the supermarket because, they too, are regulated by the FDA. And, my I remind you, the FDA is also the one that allows a certain amount of rat *kitten* in our food. So if they let that kind of thing "slide" who knows what else. So, instead, I tried to buy only locally grown…

Thanks for all of the awesome suggestions, everyone! I'm going to pick some up tomorrow and try roasting them and go from there. :D

I watched Food Inc and that changed it for me. I buy grass fed beef, free range chicken and pork and cage free eggs(all no hormone/antibotic) . I buy in season produce from a farmers market. The only things I buy premade from the store are canned tomatoes(if I could find frozen tomatoes I would stop buying them), canned…

I do eat junk on occasion and it will probably not effect your dieting. However, I would suggest not only looking at calories. Sodium, carbs and sugar are also things to keep your eye on. Enjoy your burger! But try to limit junk food to once a week.

First off, you need to speak to your husband. He has a crazy schedule but that's no excuse for waste or spending extra money on fast food. My husband leaves at 6am and gets home at 9pm with a small 2 hour break from 330-530. He has a large lunch bag with 2 freezer packs in it. Every night he prepares his breakfast and…

I reserve soda for nights out like dinner or the movies. I found with drinking water over soda I lose more weight.

If I were you, I would skip them. They are high in sodium and almost all of them have grains(pasta, rice, etc). Plus all kinds of preservatives and additives. Instead, use one of your days off and make freezer meals. They are meals you make ahead of time and can heat in the microwave whenever you want. I make about 30…

My favorite are: Veggies and FF Ranch Celery and PB Veggies and Hummus Apple Cinn Rice Cake and PB Beef Jerky Nuts Cheese and grains are a weight gain trigger for me so I try to stay away from them as much as possible

I don't log spices, splashes of milk or Pam. But that's only because I know my body well enough to not focus on the little things. For me, weight gain triggers are dairy and grains. So I tend to only have one serving of each a day if that. I also don't use a lot of salt, if I did, I would log it. So I think until you find…
