When friends walk into my house they ask if I have it staged for selling. Am I moving in or moving out. LOL For several years now I have tried to minimize. I love this post. I went from 213 to 146.5....over two years ago and now I am at 183. I know exactly what happened. I quit logging in. Thanks for your post it is motivating for me to read all the comments.

Same here...I increased my water consumption and quit eating after 4:30 pm. Maybe the scales will be friendlier...:)

why eat it at all? Boiling, draining and rinsing....why eat it?

I never realized people included steps to the bathroom, housework and walking around work place in their 10,000 steps. I only count steps totally dedicated to a speed walk. New way of looking at things.

I combine MFP with going to weekly Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) meetings. $32 a year plus very small chapter meetings fits my budget and holds me accountable. Best of luck to you and congrats on so much success.

It's a math game to me. Count calories, exercise to eat more and be honest with your intake portions. I started at 212 in 2011 and have kept off 50 pounds since then. My goal is to be 145.

Be strong! Look him in the eye and shake your head NO! Don't eat fast food! If you were an alcoholic would he offer you a beer..? You might ask him that. It is hard and challenging but you can make choices that are healthy for you.

I believe a lot depends on the type of clothes a person wears. As a large person I wore baggy things. So my first 30 pounds was not so noticeable. It was important to me to thrift store shop for clothes that fit on my journey so that I could feel the difference.

Just do it. Your biggest regret will probably be that you waited so long. Looks like you can loose a lot of pounds simply by removing him from your life. You can do this. You deserve better.
