Well just thinking out loud here....I would not go to a smoker to get advice about giving up smoking. Nor would I value someone holding a beer advising me on how to stop drinking. So a fitness trainer...yeah I want them to walk the talk and set a good example.

I get up ...go pee...while I am still naked I weigh myself. Log it and start my walk...after getting dressed!

I am a gin and diet tonic person...few calories and with a twist of lime really nice. After one drink you can switch to the lime and tonic and it is great that way too. Have a great time tonight. Shirley in sunny Oregon (at least sunny right now)

I combine My Fitness Pal with weekly Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS). You might consider googling TOPS weight loss program and see if it might compliment your MFP. If I had to ask myself or my husband this question I would be questioning a lot more than my weight. Can't you just discuss this with him. His input might be more valuable than strangers on a message board. Truly just discuss it with him. What can it hurt.

You can always put your guilt to good use and exercise it off. Take a long walk. While walking think about what might have triggered you to go off your diet. Then start a new diet during your walk...works for me.

No .....I hate McD's menu choices. The bread sucks. Plus I don't want to sabotage myself. McD's is not even tempting. Now ice cream a different thing.

I only log calories burned while time set aside for specific exercise. But what you do on your journey is what ever works for you.
