Whoever wooed me, thank you - I hit the 120 mark. I am working super hard to reach 1000. I'm hoping I get a short video from MFP congratulating me on my achievement when it happens. 100 wasn't the magic number, it just came and went like it never happened. *Sigh* I try so hard.

Excellent!!! Bring your friends

WAIT! How do I get a troll buddy?! When I introduced myself in 2013, I didn't know to say I was looking for troll buddies. Damn, I can't believe I missed out on this for 6 years.

^Ditto^ I also wonder how much muscle they have compromised to lose weight that fast.

I do this with Green Salsa Verde but use my instant pot. It is pretty yummy!

It's hard. It's frustrating. It just requires a different mindset. Set small goals and work toward those. One at a time, as you achieve a goal, build a new bigger goal. You might not be the same athlete you were but you'll find new activities and find a happy place again. I've told my story a few times here but I will…

My favorite quick lunch is to smash 1/2 of an avocado with a flavored tuna pouch (jalepeno is my personal fave) and spread it on a toasted English Muffin. It's filling, quick and has balanced macros. I also like to spread one wedge of laughing cow cheese on an EM and top it with ham or turkey and some spinach. My snacks…

I am late to the party but finally made it. I am now 11 weeks away from my 1/2 marathon in Scotland. My goal this month is to run 100 miles. It will be the first time I have accomplished that. Yesterday, I had my longest single run ever at 5 miles. I averaged 14.13 minute pace which is pretty good considering I normally…

I know I am super late to the party. I work for a power utility and started up with my college classes again. Between working storm power restoration and writing papers, I have had no time to post updates. My goal was to run 40 miles in January. I ended up running 74!

Search the food data base for "Hamburger cooked" you will get a list of options.

Coffee and soda DO count as water consumption. I have chronic kidney disease and have to monitor my fluid intake very carefully. All fluids count, as well as foods with water content. I think I will trust my urologist on this.
-
That comparison makes no sense. If the person drinking the soda logs their calorie intake from the soda and stays below their set calorie intake for weight loss, it makes no difference whether they drank the soda.

Edited because I typed to fast and didn't see that you had a conversation with your daughter. I'm glad things are good with you again.

Good luck to you. I hope you consider seeing a therapist as well. Simply being able to talk with someone about the feelings you are having could help you find ways to constructively deal with your concerns. I truly hope the best for you.

Let me guess, you watched a Netflix documentary or listened to Dr. Oz or Dr. Jason Fung?

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Are you foodies...do you like to have adventures...do you enjoy the beach or the mountains more...are you into art or wine or history or thrill rides? What have you done in the past when you got away for a weekend that you have great memories of? I used to be a travel agent and…

Every mother and child is different. She definitely may be able to produce enough milk for you to feed the baby, especially if she takes time during her work day to pump. We have a mother here in our office that pumps because her baby was never able to latch for breastfeeding. Her son is fed exclusively with breast milk…

I didn't quite make it to 20 pounds but I did lose several inches so I am ok with that! I also went from run/walking 1 mile to running 4 miles. 10/24/2018 - (first day I joined the group) 214.5 10/28/2018 - 210.8 11/11/2018 - 205.5 down 9 pounds 1/6/2019 - 202.8 down 12 pounds 2/1/2019 - 198.2 down 16 pounds

I didn't say it needs to be a balance. I said a calorie defecit is the only thing required. If people are on here eating 600 calories, they are not following the program and they will be called out for claiming to eat that little. I never said getting up and moving around would work. If getting up and moving around worked,…

Marley. I still can't watch it again.

I'm a bit concerned about these statements so I have reworded them. I'm sure it was just an innocent oversight. If you put on your weight from eating too much in the past then will lose weight if you eat in a defecit. If you gained weight by sitting around not being active then exercise will help your body be healthier and…

You're following a low carb diet but are you tracking exactly what your calorie intake is and logging your exercise? How many calories are you eating versus burning? You still have to track the calories to ensure you are in a defecit in order to lose the weight. I also find that my weight fluctuates quite a bit up and down…

I am a third year peaker. I'll be honest, I don't necessarily follow the diet or exercise program because I am active and love my current exercise routine. I do it to support Sam's charities and because there is such a great support network of people worldwide. I am attending the gala in May and participating in the Great…

This is dinner tonight.

I love my husband so much but I truly wish he would work on being healthier. It's lonely doing all my activities solo.

We enjoy watching Game of Thrones together.
-
Even though you think your friends and family will support your journey, many are disgruntled by the amount of time you dedicate to the changes you're making. Just because you feel better and want to be more active, those around you may not be as enthusiastic about being active.

I make the Kodiak buttermilk flapjacks. I do 3/4 cups of mix, 1 egg, 3/4 cup milk, 1 scoop protein powder, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp baking powder and two mashed bananas. Edited because I forgot some ingredients the first time.

If you purchase pot cheese (no, not cannabis cheese), it is literally cottage cheese with the whey removed. It may be hard to find in grocery stores but if you have an instant pot, there are recipes online to make your own.
