Meat, avocado, greek yogurt, cottage cheese...there are endless possibilities.

You're assuming everyone has access to the materials you refer to or the internet. I can tell you without hesitation that the area my sister lives in WV has no wifi or internet service and the information is not readily available.

I agree with a more activity friendly infrastructure. We have a beautiful trail system here in Maine but it is only usable for a portion of the year. The town I live in only has sidewalks in the downtown area. It's treacherous running, walking or biking on the busy roads. I'd love to be able to use medical reimbursement…

I am a college student. I am also 51.

Don't sign up. If someone asks why you didn't, just say you have other personal wellness challenges you are participating in. Leave it at that. I am on our Wellness team and also the Sustainability team but I don't participate in all of the challenges. I just say, I am happy to help but I won't be participating. Noone has…

There is no added health benefit one way or the other but I find that I have tummy issues if I eat a full meal before running. If I am hungry and need energy, an English muffin with peanut butter does the trick for me. If I need added energy for a long run, Honey Stinger Organic Chews are my go-to.

Plantar Fasciitis and shin splints sidelined me for a while so I am way behind but I did manage to run a 10k this past weekend. Considering I have only run 6.2 miles one time before and hadn't run for three weeks leading up to the race, my only goal was to finish. I finished. I wasn't last. I had fun. That's all I could…

Diamond Dallas Page, former WWE or WWF - not sure which star, does workout videos centered around a combination of yoga, body weight resistence, and martial arts. It's a bit pricey but actually worth it for people of all athletic abilities. People who are bed bound can begin using the techniques to gain mobility. Athletes…

Last night I made shepherd's pie with a side of Guinness Extra Stout.

I would argue that the lower calories and increased activity are helping you see results.

Get a second opinion. I went through this a couple years ago. If after physio you still see no progress, you might ask about a manipulation under anesthesia.

I think you are overthinking this and worrying too much about what others are/are not eating. Does it really matter in the end if you lose weight and find success? You don't see them 24/7 to know what they eat when you're not around or how active they are. What you do know and can control is how much you eat and what your…

@heybales I'm not sure if you were directing your answer to me or to the OP. I understand how MFP works - I've been here for 6 years. The OP's question was whether hula hooping for thirty minutes would be considered loggable exercise and, yes, it definitely can be. Anything that is movement beyond what one would normally…

I didn't have anything so horrible but I got a lot of my inspiring because of my accident. 27 surgeries later. Plus, we had a house fire and we were homeless for three months. Someday I will be inspiring because something amazing happens to me - I hope you do too!

@mph323 I don't remember those because I didn't read many magazines then. But...when I was in high school, I was on the color guard. We actually had weight contracts. We had to stay within a specific weight range or be suspended from performance. I was 5'9" and weighed 110 pounds. I was considered within my accepable range…

@mph323 I actively pursue woos. Excuse me while I go search "splenda".

@RunnerGrl1982 Such a clever girl!

@Tacklewasher Comparatively speaking, I am much more inspiring than you are. B)

@JustinAnimal Ooooh yeah. I happen to live in a state where it's completely legal so it is EVERYWHERE. By the way, welcome to the woo thread. Woos are welcomed here and given with enthusiasm.

There is a woman in my office that uses it and she stays relatively thin BUT she eats very little actual food and walks regularly. Mind you, she is thin but she doesn't look healthy.

Weighted hula hooping is not easy! I would say for me, it is close to the number of calories I burn dancing. I just checked it and if I log 30 minutes of "dancing - general" under cardio it is roughly 7 calories per minute which matches what @mbaker566 found.

I know right?! DELICIOUS! I just have a gentleman whose name rhymes with "phoney" in the other thread that doesn't seem to agree, lol. He woos everything I say and I think he might have gone into some of my older posts just to find things to woo. It's all good - my new goal is 500 woos by my birthday. Oh, and lots of woos…
