I like the Walk Away the pounds series. It's all walking, very easy. There are a lot of them to choose from too. I have five. But I can choose to walk just one mile up to six miles, right in my home.

Drinking water is a great suggestion. I also have found that exercising helps me. I am on medication and am hungry all of the time! These two things have helped me more than anything else.

Thanks, the "beginner" yoga video I have has you doing a plank pose in the first video! So, anyway, I decided to try the second video and found it to be much easier. I did it yesterday and today and hope to continue to do it daily. Eventually I may be strong enough to do a plank.

I have five of the Leslie Sansonne videos. I love working out to her videos because they are easy.

Thanks, I have a yoga video. But have found it difficult to do. I may try it again. And I may just do a one mile walk instead of five.

Thanks for posting this! I really needed it!

At first I gained when I quit smoking g. I started eating more. Then I lost a lot of that weight in Weight Watchers. Then I got sick and had to go on medication. The medication causes increased appetite (I am always hungry) and weight gain.

Thanks. You're right about wanting to smack sweet little Leslie in the face. at times I talk back to her and tell her to shut up. But I get a good burn from these videos and can do them anytime with very little room.

Congrats! I am a walker, my knees cannot stand the high impact of running. But I am learning the joy of pushing myself beyond the point of thi king "I just can't go any further" to "I will push myself just a little further" You are an inspiration!

Congrats! Just out of curiosity how heavy of a weight do you lift? I was thinking of adding weight lifting to my exercise routine. But I'm unsure of how heavy I should be lifting.

I have fibromyalgia, so it depends on how I feel on each particular. I am only doing Walk Away the pounds videos right now. But, Anywhere from 1 mile- 15 minutes to 5 miles- 1 hour 5 minutes with 10 minute warm up and 10 minute cool down.

I have 84 pounds to lose. Please add me. I really could use all the encouragement and "forced accountability" I can get.

Being determined is the hardest part of losing weight for me. I'm on medication that increases appetite. I do pretty good for a day or two, then give in to hunger pains. The best advice I can offer is to find someone to help you stay motivated. (I too tried weight watchers but cannot afford to go to meetings)
-
I'm on Lyrica- for fibro, and Abilify- for bipolar. Both cause weight gain and increased appetite. But I am determined to lose weight- not gain it. So far, I have managed to maintain my weight. I hope that "clean eating" and added exercise will cause me to lose weight.

I know how you feel. But you've taken the first step. You can do this! Just keep telling yourself that you can.

I'm 52", up to 186 pounds, ugh! Desperately trying to lose weight and get in shape. I would love to get down to a size 4 too.

You can add me. I am just figuring out everything there is here. But I am on several times a day to log exercise and food. I will be trying to respond more to friends' and give them motivation.

You can add me. I am new and am in need of friends.

I just started. Is that ok?

HI, I need to lose weight all over. But I guess here is a good place to start. I just did the first work out and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
-
I have Fibro too and also need more friends. Can I add you?
