Whatever, that's awesome progress! I think one of the things I really had to hammer in my head is that weight loss is truly a marathon and not a race. I used to get super discouraged if I wasn't loosing fast enough and I still do sometimes not as often after I figured that out. Forget the haters! You are doing great!!!!

When I cut my dairy and sugar way down my skin got so much smoother and nicer. I also started using a clarisonic a few months ago and love it. I wouldn't recommend a clarisonic on sensitive skin unless you get the super soft brush head otherwise you will probably irritate it and make it worse.

Wow, that's crazy that your weight didn't change! I will have to keep that in mind if the scale isn't dropping as fast as I want. I am going to keep doing the cardio, I just think I'll stop worrying so much about it. 15-30 minutes is tolerable.

I really like my Polar Ft7. It has a chest strap which monitors your heart rate. It also automatically connects to most cardio equipment which is neat.

That's a good point. I know when I first walked in the gym the treadmill was instantly was I went to because it was the least intimidating. I ended up going to the gym at like 2am when nobody was there to look at the equipment and sorta get myself acquainted. It helped but I do still feel intimidated sometimes especially…

Not offensive at all! I do hear you as far as injury concerns go. Thankfully, my husband has been lifting for 15 or so years and stays with me during the workout to watch my form. I do like to try to push the envelope because it's exciting to see what I'm capable of which is why I think I love lifting. I try to stick with…

I think that's my fear, that I won't lose the amount of weight I'm aiming for. I'd like to be around 135 some day. My doctor who I'm seeing once a month focuses a lot on the scale and when I told her about the weight lifting she seemed ok with it but immediately asked how much cardio I'm doing.

That's freaking awesome! I haven't taken measurements but now that you said that I think I will tonight. I guess it's just habit to watch the scale instead.

I just ordered the New Rules of Lifting for Women based on some MFP peeps recommendations which I'm excited for. Right now I do a program I found on Bodybuilding.com that's been pretty challenging but fun.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for advice! I do think mentally I hate cardio because of the very reason you just stated. I do an hour and what? Lose a few hundred calories. It's just so darn boring and no matter what I try it always feels monotonous. I do however at some point want to be able to run for a long distance but that's…

I have a strange living room that steps down I big step. I use till hate it but now it's like a built in step up. I love doing this while the TV is on for a few extra calories burned.

Hey there! I am from the Dallas, TX area and am on a journey to loose about 50% of my body weight. I am super determined this time and so far am 24 pounds down. I know I have a long ways to go but I will get there eventually! I'd love to have more buddies on here for the extra support. Good luck you all!

Great job!!! You look fantastic!
-
That's awesome!! Are you staying strictly 20 carbs and under?
-
I don't understand all the people fussing about low carb diets being bad. If it's not your diet then why do you care? I can personally attest to low carb and it's effectiveness. It's not a good diet for everybody but it works great for me and many, many others!

Right now my goal is to loose about 140 pounds. It definitely feels like a very, very long road but I am hopeful that this time I will stay on track and meet my goal...even if that means I don't reach my goal for a year or more. Fingers crossed!
