  • Hmmmm, let's see now: -Being referred to as skinny at 170lbs -Not having enough holes to tighten your belt (size large belt) -Constantly pulling up your tube top -and gross as it may seem.....being able to see you lap when you sit on the toilet At least that's the reality I've experienced. Nice Post :)
  • Good for you! With a schedule like that, I can agree that working out is your serenity. It's a reward within itself. You deserve that "me time". I was a preschool teacher and I'm still a Nanny part-time. My clients call me to sit with their two kids whenever they need "me time" as a couple, even for overnighters.
  • Thanks. I was just wondering if anyone else did something special for themselves after having another successful workout. Candles are lovely with a bubble bath. Haven't had a bath like that in years.

  • You made a great point. I recently disabled my account with OkCupid. I did notice that there wasn't many in my area. However, I did have a few conversations on the site with some members, but they mostly were in other states or distant areas. I met one person face to face, but we both had different interests. While we…
  • I'm with you. I'm not going to give up my fruits when I've recently learn to appreciate them. It worried me when I saw that the sugar was above the daily requirement, but when I realized it was fruit and yogurt, I figured that particular sugar can't be too bad. Besides, those foods are healthy for me.
  • So, just what site did you use, if it's okay to share here? I'm sure there are some genuine people out there. You just shared proof of that. I have met some nice friends on date sites, but just no one for a relationship. I've also had some bad experiences, but not to knock date sites because I actually rely on them as far…
  • I've always heard how some people count calories excessively and then there are others who believe you shouldn't really focus on calories when trying to control weight. Well, I don't know how much of that is true, but I have learned how to keep track of mine. When I joined MFP, I was shooting over my daily recommended…
  • I've tried all kinds of date sites and believe me, it usually has nothing to do with how you look. I think that sometimes people there are just trying to see how much attention they can get for themselves. I stop being the one to initiate a conversation on date sites. If I look at the profile and then they decide to look…
  • Oh man, I go nuts when lights are left on too. Just a few days ago I removed two of the light bulbs in the wash room area of the bathroom because the first thing I see when I open my bedroom door are those hot, bright lights. It's a pain in the rear waking up to that in the middle of the night and you already have to…
  • When I go buy groceries if I see a can on the wrong shelf (mixed with corn for example) I move it to its right shelf. Or, if something is on the shelf crooked while everything else is straight I turn it the right way. I call it "Monk Syndrome" because it's something he might do on that show........lol
  • Amyzeppy, you can do it! Being here everyone has a challenge they face and we are here to support each others goals. I felt the same as you, especially the weekend I didn't have to work and I ate over my calorie goal. When I made that post, the members here on MFP reminded me that the body responds to our emotional stress.…
  • Hi. I'm new to MFP. I could really use a larger support team. Please add me. I would love any advice you have to offer. Thanks in advance.
  • Hello everyone. I'm Francesca. I joined a local gym in April weighing in at 188lbs. I joined MFP 6 days ago weighing in at 176.4lbs. I workout for an hour sometimes two doing about 30 minutes of cardio then finishing with strength to tone. My biggest target concerns are my inner thighs, upper arms, and belly. I hate the…
  • I'm having the same problem. This is only my first week. I never knew or understood how to count calories. Some people always say not to worry about that when trying to lose weight. I don't know what to do. I improved my eating habits by increasing my fruits and veggies and decreasing my portions, but I seem to get hungry…
  • It's going on my first week. I would really like to be added as a MFP pal. Please add me. I could really use some help and advice from others. Thanks. :)
