Bump! If you can run 7 miles now, you can train for a half easy. I was running about 6 and I trained for a half in 6 weeks following the last half of the Hal Higdon model. I do my free weights on the BOSU and usually do compound lifts so I am basically working 2-3 major muscle groups every move. I like Jillian Michaels (I have done 30 DS once) but I have a class that I go to that I like better.

Try using a fit ball instead of a chair, if your employer would allow it.

I am keeping the gym membership. I would be getting the BOSU and weights to use at home when I want to focus on cardio at the gym. I have a 5 year old and it is so hard to stay at the gym for 1.5-2 hours a day. This would allow me to do weights while she is in bed or playing on her own.

In addition to doing the free weights you can perform the reps on a BOSU ball which will force your core muscles to work all the time. Personally, I lift every other day, full body. I do the BOSU work out twice a week usually and machines once or twice a week, just to mix things up.

last night I ate peanut butter and chocolate chips melted. I thought my daughter was going to share it with me, but she thought it was too much peanut butter, so I ate it all...by myself.

I'm quoting this because so many others said it too. Get some protein lady!! Your carbs come from fruit, which is awesome, but put in some MEAT...BTW, almonds and peanut butter are ok sources, but high in calories. Your best bet is to use lean protein sources, like tuna, eggs (esp. egg whites) and chicken breast. :)

I've never done Herbalife so I can't address the OP, but here's what I want to say...I did the same thing as you...lost 40 some pounds, went from a 22 to 14 in 4 months...all on my own. Give YOURSELF some credit and consider saving the money. I bet it had more to do with YOU than it did with the shakes. IMO

Nutrition has a lot to do with it. Unfortunately your body doesn't discriminate where it takes the fat from--you will lose it proportionately around your whole body. CORE training is very important!! I like to do weight training with a BOSU ball that engages my core while working the other major muscle groups.

I eat about 1800 calories a day and burn 500-900 calories working out and I've lost a total of 75 lbs. It works. Feel free to check out my diary.
