Be compassionate towards yourself when you don't follow your plan the way you want. Beating yourself up will not help. If another person treated you that way, it would not help either - be your own best friend in this regard. Find your inner strength and true reason for wanting to make this change...and run with it. That…

Way to go! You made a huge step in thinking about it differently, and our mind is our most powerful tool in life...changing behaviours that will get you to the healthiest you and likely cause weight loss as a side effect. You are doing it! Make sure to eat sufficient calories as the norm, as the poster above stated, so it…

Thanks!! :-)

Thanks! Could you explain the math that came up with 0.36 please?
-
Mine definitely improved my symptoms.

I use individual cottage cheese packs and string cheese. Hard boiled eggs are also good.
-
I also suggest Renew Life probiotics. I have had life long bowel problems and the colon care 80 billion count from Renew Life has been immensely helpful. The 5 billion count did nothing for me.

Well my bloodwork is fine, I actually have 30 pounds to lose, and I can walk 7500 steps a day now and more without feeling tired/sore/exhausted.
-
Gotcha, right!
-
Thanks all!

Sometimes I get only 5-6 hours but might feel rested after that. Do you think it's better to just start my day instead of trying to go back to sleep for 1-2 more hours to get my full 7-8 hours of sleep? It rarely leaves me feeling more rested anyway if I try to get those 1-2 extra hours after I'm awake for some reason.
-
I love naps too! But what if you have a 9-5 office job and can't get home for a nap?
-
Thanks all, everyone but 1 or 2 people were really helpful!

Yeah, my bf and I now have cable and it's a time drain. I could do without it, I didn't use to have it but he wanted it when we moved in together. He has long days and usually spends a few hours in front of the tv after work, and since we want to spend time together after work, we sit around together. I could use more of…

Do you have weights to lift in your house or do you drive to a gym? Do you have time for anything else you enjoy during the day? For example, crafting, cooking, reading, journaling, etc...or just any down time?

Thanks all! PinkPixiexox - you read my mind. I need to stop the slow decrease in working out. A few solutions this past week I've come up with will help: -I am AWFUL at waking up early and not hitting snooze a few times - even worse, the alarm is on my phone which is plugged in right next to my bed, within arm's reach. I…

It did pick up activity because the step count was higher after I completed the workout.

me three!

Thank you. Now, will fitbit also give me an estimate of calories to eat?
-
Ah yes I just found it thank you. I don't understand why fitbit says my goal is to burn 2300 cal per day? How in the world did it come up with that. And I don't see how that number relates to my calorie goal from MFP (which is 1500 cal per day). Help please!
-
Thanks so much...and I assume you're supposed to the fitbit as soon as you get up until you lie down for bed? You don't wear it to bed right?
-
I think they're lying around here somewhere...
-
That's interesting, since many, many people ask for help with the same thing on this website.

I just made the most delicious thai peanut chicken last night...sauteed chicken with basil leaves. Then used pan scrapings for sauce...added chicken broth, PB2, some sweet chili sauce, a touch of agave nectar, salt and pepper, and hot peppers. Delicious!
-
Yes, actually, food can be fun for me. Please don't comment on my post if you have nothing helpful to contribute, thank you and have a great day!
-
[side note - love the avatar...hehe]
-
No, I don't think you are right. I agree with anna3067. I fully intend to have delicious McDonalds apple pies and chicken nuggets and chocolate sometimes while continuing to work on my calorie deficit.
-
Yes, that is what I thought as well.
-
Actually, I had no problem with people asking questions. Anyway, I already explained the one binge cheat day earlier. Why would I be on here if I'm not willing to make SOME kind of change. I already HAVE. That's all.
-
Thank you for the encouraging words. I also realize that out of the 18 days, it's taken some time in the beginning to get the hang of logging, and I was changing the calorie settings, so it's not been consistent. So I will NOT give up, I will keep going and maybe it WILL take several weeks to see if something changes.
