The downside of some medications, ugh. I too take meds that allow for easy weight gain and makes it difficult to lose weight. Personally, I've continued watching what goes in my mouth and have increased my exercise. That seems to be working, slowly, but it is working. Hope you find your target on dealing with your meds.

I have to agree with the strength training. Since I stared 2 months ago I feel pretty darned great. It's helped me with my cardio in that I can go longer. For now I'm doing 3 days cardio and 2 days strength training. Will up it after this week. Good luck!

On top of the gooies that come from all veggies/fruits because of the way it's grown, I wash due to the fact that people handle the produce from the time it leaves the farm to the grocery store. Who knows what gooies those hands are carrying.

Eh, that's not really important in the scheme of things. Your mom shouldn't have been embarrassed and you shouldn't presume that your parents aren't supportive over this one little issue. You keep asking for the nutrition facts, you're doing yourself good in that area.

You need healthy carbs. I do low carbs for medical reasons but nonetheless, I still need carbs. Low carb eating is not helping me personally drop the poundage.

Ha! I went from and 16/18 to a 10. I've got several pants/jeans in 10 that fit fine. This past weekend I found a pair of jeans that said 16. How long have you been seeing this doctor? I don't know what your issue was that had you in the doctors office but don't dismiss his advice. You should've asked him why he made that determination. Excess weight causes havoc on our bodies.
