I especially love the 'I have also discovered that I am worth taking care of.' line - thats the hardest part to come to terms with, but once you realise it, it takes on a life of its own :)

Hi! Welcome to MFP and welcome to your new life :D Feel free to add me if you'd like some extra support - friends are always good to have around :)
-
lol I STILL hate exercising, but am seeing results now and it makes me hate it less ;) Just be really determined. I've found anger to be very motivating - sad isn't, but angry is - I get lots more done and harder workouts done lol ;) Just be kind to you! You are worthy of love as much as anyone else, and that includes love…

*hugs* Im sorry for your loss :( Losing a pet is often likened to losing a loved one or family member... and for me it would be pretty much the same thing. I think you should give yourself time to grieve, first off. After that, try changing your patterns a little bit at a time - instead of going for walks to the park, try…

Oh and another thought while I'm at it - I have binges on good days as well as bad. It doesn't seem to be triggered only by negative emotions. For me, sometimes its so easy just to have that extra cupcake when things are good because I'm just going with the flow.... not a good idea lol :)
-
Feel free to add me if you like - we can virtually slap each other if required lol ;)
-
First thing - *hugs*!!! :) Its okay to rant! :) Second thing - I agree, I can't do 'its just one day' either, because I lose motivation and can't stop myself lol. So I'm having to be pretty regimented in how things go. Third thing - taking a step back and finding out the root of the problem is possibly a very good idea.…

Feel free to add me too! This journey is so much better and so much easier with friends to hold us up along the way, snap us out of it when we're having a bad day, and cheer from the sidelines when we reach each goal :)

Honey, you gotta love yourself first and then make the rest happen. No-one is saying weight loss is easy, its not - its really hard, but the results are worth every tear and every strain. You have to remember that there is no-one in the entire world like you, that you are special and awesome, and to hold your head up high.…

was your dinner what you usually eat? are there any other factors going on in your life like extra stress etc that could be part of the problem?
-
I've had random periods when I've been heaps stressed out - that could be part of the problem. If it only lasts for a day or two that could be it. If its prelonged amounts of bleeding, I'd go to the doc just to get checked out to clear your mind a bit.
-
You sure can! You're a beautiful strong woman who can do anything :) Well done on your loss so far!!! Remember we are here if you need us for support and motivation :) Feel free to add me! I've just gone down from a size 22 to 18, its hard work but so worth it! :)

I think we all have days/weeks like this - I know I do, and I'm not even breastfeeding or have kids lol :) it could well be TOM. Is there anything else going on in your life that could be stressful? Also, from what I've read we are supposed to eat 1200 calories minimum to ensure body doesnt go into starvation mode so maybe…

woohoo! well done! :) x

I'm sorry :( *hugs*
-
Are you able to buy your own food? Or at least some of it?
-
Yep I agree with the above posts - slow and steady wins the race! This way, your body will have a chance to get used to what you're doing and you are more likely to stick with it - its not a diet its a lifestyle change. Well done on the weight loss and keep doing what you're doing! :)
-
I'm really sorry to hear that :( *hugs* Just try and do what you can do - where are you not injured as badly? Perhaps you can look at some movement exercises that might help you feel a bit more like you're doing something? But other than that, its more important to get better than to worry too much about exercise - if…
-
You've actually reminded me to go and buy some because I actually like it lol. :) Its something I've gotten used to over time. Its hard to say what to do to make it nice, because without adding anything to it it just kinda tastes like it does. Maybe just drink it over ice and quickly to get it down lol ;)
-
wow! well done! :)

I agree with Daisy - I feel heaps lethargic and slow and yuck when I eat bad foods full of fat now. Oil doesn't like me at ALL. Its hard to come to terms with in the beginning, but its just your body's way of showing you what it needs. Sucks, but its true lol. :)
-
Yeah that makes sense :) Okay I'll go with what I'm doing for a while and see how I go. I'm hardly ever over 1300 net calories consumed and very rarely under 1200 net calories consumed so I think I'm in the right area. :) Thanks for your help! :)
-
And thankyou for the kind words :)

[/quote] This sounds right...As long as your NET doesn't go below 1200 and you are eating what is allowed for you. I just found out that I was eating below my NET. I was focusing on my goal which was 1200 calories....then I would burn 200 and only eat back say half so I was still below the 1200 NET. I have since upped my…

But then we get into the whole 'should I eat my exercise calories' discussion - which has been talked about ad nauseum on here and the conclusion is yes. And thats basically what I'm doing - making sure I'm eating enough. So if I start with 1200 calories, then exercise 500, thats 1700 I should be eating, right? If I eat…

lol I think its funny how people all have a different view on this stuff. Seems theres no straight answer :S
-
So that being said, I'm on the right track. :) Thats a really good way of putting it for my tired little brain lol. Thankyou :)
-
See this is where I get confused lol. :P Take today for example. My net calories consumed after cardio was 1400 so I did some more cardio to bring that back down to 1200 net calories intake. Am I doing the right thing?
-
I'm never over by heaps, just 100 or 200 calories tops - and I always exercise to make sure I am back under my limit (including eating my exercise calories). This doesnt happen very often, most of the time I'm below my limit anyway, I'm just curious as to whether this method works is all :)

Thanks very much for your replies everyone :) I'm hoping it does work - I've lost 13lbs in about 8 weeks so it must be working, right? It just sounds to me like cheating a bit lol.
