That's tough. I had lost around 100# when I had to have a full hip replacement. My biggest fear was that I would become the couch potato that I was before the weight loss. Luckily that didn't happen. I watched what I ate more closely and did my best to keep busy. Ended up at maybe a pound up after 6 weeks. Good Luck, you…

I am the opposite, my waist went down first, but my calves and thighs were behind. Then when I was close to goal weight, I just had to find a different brand. I actually had some muscle in my thighs that I had to deal with.

I think it depends on where you lose first. People started commenting to me at about 40#, I lose in my face first though. One person at work said something at that point, a guy, and he said he had noticed a while ago, but didn't want to say anything because he didn't know how to bring it up. Sometimes it's a hard subject…

Before I lost weight, I liked sweets, but not too sweet. I was the person that would scrape the frosting off cake. Now I would love to eat all the frosting on the cake and everyone else's frosting too. It doesn't seem right, or fair :)

I understand that, but my non-swimming friends would be confused by that also
-
Good to hear this, I would say lap, meaning one length of the pool and people would assume I meant 2 lengths of the pool. This made them think I swam a lot further and faster than I did. I have changed, what I say to yards. ETA: or I say lengths to avoid the confusion :)

I have a new hip also, not brand spanking new, but in the last 5 years. I think I am more afraid of going deeper into the squat than anything else. Angling my fee out some has helped though. I will not even try to fix someone elses form, more here to see what everyone else has to say...see if I can get deeper on my own…

I have the same issue and trying to find a balance in life has proven difficult for me. It seems like a never ending battle. I am good with working out on a regular basis, that habit took and I have been regular with it for 7 years, my eating habits, they are not so good. I like to go out to eat with my friends, have…

Sounds sort of like something I would do, although a friend of mine and I usually sign up for events while we are drinking. Sounds like a great idea at the time, sometimes it doesn't sound so great when we wake up. This is how I signed up for my first stair climb I think :) Good luck, enjoy!

Same for me, I worked out with my trainer for 4 years, he moved to a different city, now he does my programming and still motivates me. This may be different in that he knows my capabilities and limitations, but you should be able to communicate these things with an on-line trainer. Might work for some, not others. If I…

I think convenience was key for me when I started. Back when I tried to get in a routine and it didn't stick, I had to drive past my house on the way home from work to get to the gym...I went home way too much. 7 years into the healthier life and a habit of working out 5-6 days a week, I will go out of my way for classes…

Commercial, it is on my way home from work so convenience isn't an issue. Once I get home from work, I tend to get lazy and lay on the couch or find something else to do.

My Dad would always tell me not to get "Too skinny", pretty sure that will never happen. The sick thing happened too, after not going to a monthly poker game for a while, I showed up and my brother's friend pulled him to the side to ask him if I was sick, he was worried about me.

It is a tough question, but Billy Joel and Elton John the first time they went on tour together was probably one of the tops that I can think of. For pure fun...any of the 10 Jimmy Buffett concerts I have been to, including last week :)

I wear a two piece tri suite like Djproulx described above, wore it for the entire race. No wet suit, so I just wore that for all three parts, it was comfortable and no hotter than anything else I would run or bike in. My sister-in-law wore the one piece that zipped up the back, she said it was hot.

I don't usually due to time constraints. Today I did a quick shave (horribly done), but that is because I have a dress on today :)
-
I felt the same way for a long time, I ended up taking a good friend of mine that is into fashion shopping with me. I went to the dressing room and one store and she just kept bringing me stuff to try on. She was way honest with me on what looked good, which helped. It also helped that she brought me stuff to try on that I…

Never for me, I dread it to this day. When I started I did it all with pen and paper, you would think this would be easier and less of a pain, but I still dread it. There are times when I am really good about it, but then I start feeling obsessive.

I have been fitted multiple times, nothing has ever felt invisible. I think there is a point when size can make it nearly impossible to feel invisible.

I am in the same boat, 34 G is where they look the best, but it is not comfortable. I have tried 36G, 36F...nothing really seems right. Either way, I get that thing off as soon as I can, the band digs in and I have permanent indentions in my shoulders. I have been considering a reduction for multiple reason and one being…

I go with the people that say don't eat eggs if you don't like them. I love them and eat them almost every day....sometimes twice :)

I can't wait to get any bra off at the end of the day, no way I could sleep in one, but that is my opinion. I have read that it helps keep them perky and also ready it's a myth. Too late for me, they are too big to be perky at this point...add in 100 pound weight loss and its even more of a losing battle.

Anytime Fitness for $20 a month, no live classes, but virtual classes whenever I want. Another community center gym for $30 a month that I joined mainly for the pool. I was paying daily visit fees and if I go once a week, it was cheaper to just join. $50 total for the month and I go 6X a week usually.

I go to an office that has a chiropractor and a physical therapist. I see them one right after the other and they have helped me with all the imbalances I have gotten over time. Feeling better than I have in a long time for the most part.

I jump rope for cardio, but I can't do that too long, but you could do a circuit of jump rope, jumping lunges, jump squats and add in some core work.
-
Desk job, but I do print to the furthest printer that I can. I am also one to go to someone's office and ask a question instead of calling. At lease it gets me up and moving. I usually have around 5,000 steps before the end of the work day and then I hit the gym, then I come home and walk the dog. If it's not too hot or…

Having a trainer helped me a lot when I got started. He helped me with my diet, held me accountable, helped me set realistic goals, and kept me from getting bored and giving up. I would agree with others, it depends on what you need.

I found this out, so much so that one day I decided I should take a rest day...somehow I still ended up driving to the gym. Total auto pilot to drive to the gym after work.
-
I had my dog before I started my gym membership and before I started a healthier lifestyle. He may be home longer no, but he has a more active lifestyle now too. He seems happier now too. He gets way better walks and we play a lot more.

He doesn't seem to be suffering, and he doesn't go on the floor. When I get home and we go outside he doesn't seem to be in a hurry to go. I wish he could talk sometimes so I would know these things.
