  • I have done both, but on a cruise, I did not log. I ate many things and tried many new things. At the same time, I was active and I even made a few trips to the fitness center on board. Even eating dessert and drinking alcohol whenever I wanted, I gained a half pound.
  • Store bought cookies or processed ones like Chips Ahoy. If I am going to eat the calories of a chocolate chip cookies, it needs to be homemade or froma good bakery. I will never give up chocolate chip cookies :) Delivery or frozen pizza.....either homemade or make a night of it and go to a good pizza joint and eat pizza…
  • I agree with this, if you don't push the healthy lifestyle, they won't push their lifestyle. My friends have been awesome as I changed my lifestyle. I even get some of them to do mud runs and 5Ks with me. That being said, I still go out for pizza and beer and chicken wings. I even go out and over indulge ever once in a…
  • I agree with OP, wouldn't you have to include your exercis in your TDEE as part of your activity.
  • My personal trainer was very helpful with correct form, we hae spent a lot of time perfecting form, now that he isn't in the same city as me anymore, he writes my workouts and includes Youtube videos for me to watch. If I am doing a workout and still not sure the form is correct, I have a friend from the gym who helps me…
  • I had my gallbladder out in 2010,I had no previous issues, but had emergency surgery to have it out. I ate very plain food for about a week, then went back to my normal diet. I have not had any issues since. I did have the pain the shoulder from the gas trapped in the body, luckily the doctor had warned me of this.…
  • I weighed over 300 pounds when I joined the gym. Luckily I found a gym that I like. 4.5 years later I am still going and I weigh 120 pounds less. It was a little awkward for me at first, but that was because of me, not because of anyone in the gym. No one in the gym cared what I was doing.
  • I am the same way. I am not a morning person at all. The only workout I don't mind doing in the morning is swimming, for some reason that seems to work just fine. Luckily I work my schedule out ahead of time so I don't have to do morning workouts very often.
  • I have never paid specifically for a meal plan, but my personal trainer has always helped me with ideas and what to eat to hit my macros. Are you sure she isn't going to give you more as the month goes on? 6 meals is not really a month of meal planning.
  • You look amazing! Great work.
  • deleted for double post
  • This! I do stop myself at half the container, but 1/2 cup serving, so not enough.
  • I have a progression picture I made on my fridge, me at my heaviest, middle after losing 50 pounds and the last one after losing 120 pounds. It's on the side of the fridge, so I don't always look at it, but I know it's there. I also have my personal trainer's card there and it has his picture on it and I never want to…
  • I eat regular pizza out occasionally. Sometimes at home, I make pizza using Flat Out Wraps as the crust or sometimes I make a "pizza" on top of a portabella mushroom. Roast the mushroom for a 6-8 minutes or so, then top like a pizza an put back in the oven until the cheese is good and melted. I eat the mushroom pizza a…
  • 1. 4-7 2. The gym 3. yes 4. rock/pop/rap 5. yes 6. started as weight loss, now all of the above.
  • So far, 2 falls, one hurt the back a little, but just a minor set back. My roof is a mess due to an "ice damn" from one of the freeze, thaw, refreeze cycles. (i was lucky with this one as the leak is over my bath tub) The roof has not been looked at to know that this is what has truly happened as its been too crappy for…
  • Do it, there are always plenty of walkers at the ones I have been to. Good thing, because I don't run the whole way ever :) I just enjoy the atmospher and it is something fun to do with friends that doesn't involve food (although it usuallty does after)
  • I pre-log during the work week most of the time. I have preplanned my meals, I might as well add them up and make sure I am on track, it also keeps me from going crazy and eating too much. I don't pre-log exercis, I have a fitbit and it automatically adds in available calories.
  • No, and the forecast says we will get some Sunday. Depending on what I see 3-6, 4-8...who knows, maybe they will be wrong. I might be ok with snow if we got snow days and got a day off work instead of shoveling out to go to work.
  • In the middle for sure. I had a chocolate chip cookie for breakfast, it was homemade though :)
  • I have done two sprint distance, I needed something to train for when I was getting close to my goal weight. I am not really supposed to run according to my dr, so I train more for the swimming and biking and then just walk/run the end. I have never had a serious training program...until now, I am doing a 6 week training…
  • I agree with previous posts, take pictures. If you didn't take a specific before, look at old photos and take a new photo of yourself. I went through the same thing. Family Christmas photos was the first time I could really tell and I had lost over 30 pounds.
  • At my brother's house after we finished the Lake St. Louis Triathlon
  • Ugh, no. That thing has to come off sometimes. I sleep in a tank top with a built in bra that doesn't really support them, but keeps them in place sort of. Size 34G
  • This all makes me love my gym even more. People wipe down machines, people re-rack their weights and are generally nice and tidy around the gym.
  • I agree with this, the time between breakfast and lunch is when I tend to snack the most. I am trying to stop the snacking. I have also been trying to get more protein with my breakfast, smoothies are the easiest way for me and I do very basic with that, frozen fruit, almond milk and protein powder. It tends to keep me…
  • Gotta be good, I did Tap N Run last year and signed up again this year. It's just plain fun, and I know that fun is good for me.
  • Photos are a great way to track progress, looking at yourself in the mirror daily makes it difficult to see the changes. I wish I would have taken more pictures while I was losing weight.
  • Once a guy put his arm around me and said "Wow, you must work out, very muscular" That was nice after a year of hitting the gym hard and losing over 100 pounds. I was also walking up the steps and a friend behind me said "I want my legs to look like yours" It's always nice to et a compliment.
