  • I maintained in 2014, would like to lose 25# this year Try 2 new, healthy recipes a month Control my spending and save more
  • I don't understand what people expect from these cops, apparently they should not use any force and let these teenagers shoot them. I am all for the cop making it home to his family in these situations. He can't wait to see if the guys is going to shoot...it's a little too late at that point.
  • I am 5'10" and in these picture have lost 120....starting weight 320, just under 200 in the second one.
  • I have no idea if I really knew it was "it" this time. People ask me all the time why I started losing weight and what was "it" that made me finally do it. I can't really answer that one either. However, I started over 5 years ago and have kept most if it off for the last 4 years. I am hoping this is the last time I start…
  • It's tough, I have lots of holiday gatherings, but I try to keep my fitness routine the same and then eat really well when there is not a gathering, I can indulge some and not cause any problems.
  • I am an Anytime member and I love it and have been there for 5 years. That being said, it definitely depends on the Anytime you are going too like civilizedworm said. Mine has everything I need, accept spin bikes. I never had a need for that until I was training for an indoor triathlon. Luckily the one close to my work had…
  • I used to hit my snooze button multiple times every morning. I gave that up, which wasn't easy, but giving up snoozing has helped me get up for morning workouts when needed. Than being said, I still hate morning workouts, but if I know I can't get it done after work, I will go in the morning.
  • I used to feel guilty more often, but I don't skip planned workouts very often and it is usually for a good reason. The last one was injury, or pain anyway. I only plan one rest day a week, if another day happens, I am ok with that.
  • Swimming, jump rope, HIIT... anything so I don't have to be on a machine for an extend period of time, I last about 10 minutes before boredom kicks in .
  • Definitely eggs. I ate them before, but now they are a go to meal for when I am feeling lazy about cooking. They are cheap and easy!
  • One of mine big accomplishments was too go to the pool and swim laps. When I was 100 pounds overweight, I thought those days were over. I was too afraid to go. Once I did that, I signed up and did a sprint triathlon. Also, I gave myself permission to be more picky in the dating scene. No one should just settle.
  • I hope to reach my goal weight at some point, but I am always adding new goals. As I lost weight, some of the fitness goals and other life goals became more important than the weight loss goal. Now I am back to focusing on the weight loss. I am sure once I hit that, new goals will arise.
  • I got the "don't get too skinny" comment a lot when I was losing. That hasn't happened. I gained some back and I wish I could get those comments again. I was never that skinning and never hit the goal weight the doctor gave me. I think people were just trying to get used to the new me - 135#s lighter. The other crazy one I…
  • Spices, diet soda and drink mixes. Everything else I count...unless I choose not to count anything for a day, which happened this weekend. Whoops.
  • I agree to a point, it easier to count the calories in pre-packaged meals, but they get old real quick. I only cook for myself, I cook a full recipe and then freeze what can be frozen or eat the same thing for several days. Last week I wasn't lazy and cooked meals Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights for dinner. Now I have…
  • I am getting one this week. We are offered them free at work, if I had to pay for it, probably wouldn't get it or go out of my way to get one.
  • I renewed mine when it expired. They guy taking my picture looked at me, looked at the old license, back at me and simply said "wow, nice" It felt good  and yes, ours has our weight on them and it was nice to be able to have them lower it by 100#s
  • I have never given up alcohol, but have lost over 100 pounds. It was a discussion with my trainer in one of our first sessions. There are times when it slows progress or I temporarily gain weight over the weekend, but not enough that it is a real problem. However, it sounds like you don't care about drinking, so why not…
  • Agree with this! Why not lose weight and get fit?
  • Just remember that you don't know the story behind those people that are all fit. They could have started obese and worked hard and gotten to be fit. Also what other people said, no one really cares, just get in there and work hard. Most people appreciate seeing someone work really hard.
  • Snacking, at work, at home, where ever I am. I eat healthy meals for the most part. Breakfast lunch and dinner are great, then I east some snack. The snack may not be bad for one serving, but I don't always stop at one serving. A 1/2 cup of ice cream is difficult for me.
  • I have also read that not drinking enough water can cause you to retain water. I drink when I am thirsty, that ends up being more than 64 oz. especially when I work out. I sweat a lot. When I don't drink enough water or stay hydrated, I am much more sore after a workout also. Like others have said, it doesn't help you lose…
  • 5'10" and currently at 215. Trying to get to 180 and then take it from there. I started at 320, got down to 186...so close...and then went back up. Caught myself before gaining all that back. I really rely on my clothes more now that the scale, but the scale still has some control over me. I have a couple of fitness goals.…
  • I lost in my face/neck first. It made it easy for people to notice. Then my thighs....I had a flat butt before, didn't lose anything there. It's actually better now days from all the squats and weighted hip thrusters. ETA - I lost a lot in the band size of my chest, but cup size has remained the same. Wish that would…
  • Mine has been checked multiple times over the past few years and it still runs low. The only time I can get it to the right level is if my doctor gives me the mega dose prescription to take once a week. It's 50,000 IU. Right now I am trying to take over the counter vitamins of 1600 IUs with breakfast and again at dinner.…
  • I don't know your starting point, but you can do it. I lost 130 pounds in 13 months. Some days/weeks were easier than others, but just keep working at it, don't beat yourself up if you gain at some point, just keep working toward the ultimate goal. ETA: Keep your smaller goal of 30 pounds by Christmas, once you reach the…
  • St. Louis, MO...Go Cards!
  • I agree with this, I do both high reps and low reps. My workouts vary quite a bit, I never get bored.
  • I have had been through some of the depression, it was prior to getting into a workout schedule, which did seem to help. When I hit the last extended depression, my doctor did test and I am way low in D and B12. B12 is under control now. The depression still comes and goes, but not as bad. I don't have the feeling of just…
