  • Like others have said, have one and count it and move on. We have a tray of chocolate chip cookies (major weakness for me). It was good. Just replaced my morning snack with it and will watch what I eat even closer the rest of the day. I should be good.
  • Finish the triathlon that I have done the past three years in under 1:30 Do one unassisted pull-up Do double unders back to back....I'm up to 6 consecutive, but I want to do a bunch, it's a struggle
  • I love my workouts, and I mix things up with the help of my awesome trainer. When I don't want to be in the gym, I will walk outside or bike outside. I love going to the gym though. I have been at the same one for 5 years and can't imagine my life without it. There are always days that I don't want to be there, but I love…
  • I love the jump rope also, sometimes the most supportive sports bra still doesn't hold the girls in place when I am doing this, but oh well. That said, I have 8, 3 are really good and I wear them most. washing and hanging to dry isn't too much trouble, I am doing laundry anyway. I would buy more, but can't justify the…
  • I do also get a look when I buy a bunch of baking supplies. I bake a ton of cookies at Christmas and I have a day with my niece that we bake all day. I have gotten a look then. You would think with flour, butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, chocolate chips and other assorted things they could figure out I am not going home to…
  • I have gotten this one too...especially when buying necessities for a camping trip :)
  • Chips and French onion dip or chips and salsa. A bowl in front of me ends up being an empty bowl in front of me way to quickly. Also, I make a homemade peanut butter chocolate ice cream. I only make it if I am taking it somewhere.
  • Fish, any seafood besides shrimp. It always sounds good how it is prepared when I am at a restaurant, but I just can't eat it. It is awful. Also, sweet potatoes. I don't even like them as French fries. Something fried that I don't like may be a good thing.
  • I lost over 100 pounds and lost band size, but not cup size. I wear a 34G. I have a minimizer that must do wonders because most people say they don't look THAT big. There is no way to hide that they are big though. I have finally embraced this....since turning 40. I still think that a breast reduction may be in my future…
  • I agree, trying to change too many things at one time backfires on me. I can do one diet related thing and one non-diet related thing.
  • I vote for Diet Soda....I am working on this one too. I try these things monthly, last was ice cream. I now eat plain greek yogurt with ice cream sandwich protein powder mixed in. One month I went a little different and gave up my Snooze button in the mornings. One of the best things I have done for myself in a long time.
  • If they have classes, go to those. I have met several people in classes that I go to regularly. We whine and groan together and become friends. I have been at the same gym for 5 years now and have several friends that I am social with. It is a fairly small gym and I go at the same time during the week, so I see the same…
  • I roast them for about 10 minutes with a little olive oil, then top like a pizza, put them back in the oven to get the cheese melted and they are done. One of my go to meals.
  • I go straight to the gym after work. I tried the early morning workout, I felt that I was lazier doing it. I felt like I couldn't lift as heavy or push myself on cardio as much. Has anyone had this experience, and did that feeling go away once early morning workouts become your routine? The only workout that feels ok in…
  • I started losing weight and getting more fit when I was 38, was happier and much healthier when I hit the big 40. I have loved my 40s so far. I am definitely in better shape now than I was when I was 30. Fee free to add me.
  • So I can do more and live my life the way I really want to, not just sit on the side lines and watch others doing what I want to do.
  • I put protein powder in my smoothies occasionally, mainly because it keeps me full longer. I was doing Spinach and berries blended together for a smoothie and that didn't keep me full long enough and I ended up snacking all morning. If I added some protein powder, I didn't need to snack. I don't do this every morning, but…
  • Sounds like you are doing it right to me.
  • I agree with this. When I started with my personal trainer, people would ask me if he was in shape. It took me by surprise and my answer was "Should a trust a trainer that doesn't look like they are in shape?" All of the trainers that have worked at the gym I go to look like they are in great shape. But then, I look at…
  • I eat when I am bored. Bored doesn't always mean I have nothing to do, bored at work when there is stuff I don't want to do triggers me also. I'm working on it.
  • Good question, I am in the same boat as you. I feel fit, my friends tell me I am fit, my trainer tells me I am fit...I guess I am fit. I did a sprint triathlon in August and didn't die, that has to mean something :)
  • How to make the perfect Manhattan. They still tell me I make them better than any bartender, but I sometimes believe that this is just to get me to make them at their house.
  • I never gave up beer and lost over 100#, That being said, I reduced my intake and try to only drink one day a week. This plan doesn't always work, as events come up and I want a beer. Summer is always harder for me, so I am trying to get back to the one day a week thing right now.
  • My doctor is great, she wanted me to lose weight, told me to exercise more and eat less. At my first appointment since starting weight loss(after years of her telling me to), I was down 25 pounds or so from the previous year, she asked to make sure I was trying to lose weight and not some other issue. Then we discussed…
  • I agree with this when I don't add protein powder, but when I do, it keeps me full like any meal does.
  • I go on smoothie kicks every once in a while. I add protein powder to it. Usually mine are protein powder, unsweetened almond milk, frozen fruit and spinach. I just switch up the fruit. If I use a banana, I will add the Pb2. I would count it as a meal for sure. Lately I have just been lazy and shaking my protein powder…
  • I watch a little TV, sometimes read, but I fall asleep very easily. If I have to workout later that my normal 5pm for some reason, I have a harder time falling asleep....then I get my journal out or watch a movie. It can turn into a bad cycle. I used to have my training sessions from 7-8PM and I never got a good nights…
  • It's probably been said, but I go to the gym after work, so I am made up when I get there....not much left when I leave though, it's on the towel I use :)
