My family and friends have all been supportive for the most part. My Mom did tell my sister in law that she thought I was obsessed with working out and weight loss, but she never said it to me. Probably because my sister in law told her she shouldn't since they had been on me to lose weight for a long time, she shouldn't…

I have used the heart rate monitor a couple of times when I swim, usually I swim 2000 yards or so in 45-50 minutes. I don't remember the actual calorie burn, but the heart rate monitor was actually higher than what MFP gave me. It's been a while since I have used the heart rate monitor though.

Have you changed the way you dress? My body changed so much that I had to get different styles to look better. I couldn't just buy the same pants and shirts in a smaller size. Have you been lifting weights or just doing cardio and eating healthier. Like JoRocka said, building the muscle changes the way you look and gives…

Haha, my dog is too, he likes the longer, more frequent walks he gets

I log swimming and biking only. Anything else I just let the Fitbit calculate

When I am laying on the floor of the gym at the end of the workout with sweat pouring off me....texting my trainer that I don't like him at that moment.

I agree, I find myself more attractive when I see myself in pictures, so why wouldn't anyone else....still working on this part as I still see the fat girl in the mirror most of the time though. I definitely get more attention though, at first I wasn't good at handling it, I have gotten better, but still need work on how…

I told some people, some really close friends and my immediate family. I was so happy to have them support me. When I started, I had personal training sessions every Monday and my best friend would always wait for my text or phone call telling her how my week went. She was very encouraging and still is. I told a few people…

I tried crossfit, had a great instructor who worked really closely with us to do the different lifts and making sure form was right before we went to an actual class. I enjoyed a lot of it, but decided I liked my gym better and couldn't afford both. My trainer ended up getting certified in Crossfit, so now I have the best…

I used to only weigh myself when I had a session with my personal trainer, he moved to a different city, but still writes workouts for me and helps me when I get down on myself about anything, but I only weigh myself once or twice a month. Scale has hardly moved for the last 3-4 months.

My dog is allowed in the bed and will occasionally sleep there with me, but usually he sleeps in his own bed in the bedroom with me. He does get up and snuggle on the occasional morning. The couch is a whole different story, we have learned to share that really well.

It gave me some confidence which I am sure to someone who doesn't know me real well, they would say that it changed me. However, my best friends say I haven't changed, I am still the same person. 100 + pounds did change me, but I guess the good qualities I had, I still have.

Thanks for the comments and advice! It is not my first tri, but always sight bad and wonder of there is a better way to train. In the two I have done I have done breast stroke for a few strokes to make sure I am on track. Also, thinking of doing a longer open water swim since I like to swim and it would give me something…

I generally happily share the road, and it's not all cyclists, its the ones that don't obey the laws. I can't drive my car three abreast, neither should a cyclist. I also do have one argument about how the people driving cars should act...we pay taxes based on our car that we drive on the roads, the cyclist does not.…

Agree fully on the 3 abreast, annoys me! Or the Cyclists that are out on a major road during rush hour slowing things down. I don't mind most of the time, but when I am trying to get to work on time....

I had over 100 pounds to lose and did it with small goals also, 25# at a time. Watching the scale go down then kept me motivated. At first I thought I needed rewards, but the weight loss was enough. I did learn that I love exercise, just had to find the right thing to do. I love strength training, I add in cardio, but I no…

I meal plan on Sunday for the work week, but don't fill in my log. I do fill my log in at the beginning of every day. Today's is complete, I still have some calorie room if I get hungry. I eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch almost every day, it's pretty easy. Dinner and snacks can be different, but always fairly…

I watch the show and think it does give some people unrealistic goals when they see people losing 150# in a year, but then again, I lost 130 pounds in 13 months while eating healthy at 1500-1750 calories a day, working out for an hour our so 5 days a week and working a full time job and living my life. So, it is doable, if…

You can do it on this one - Click on Food then Recipes and you can enter everything there. ETA: I use the Old Recipe Calculator on the right side of the screen, the other one to enter manually did not work when I tried it.

I had mine out in emergency surgery and was back to work in a little over a week and back in the gym doing cardio then also. I had to take it easy lifting weights for a little longer. I didn't really have much pain after the first couple days and the only reason I wasn't back at work quicker was I needed approval from the…

I like lifting weights and other strength training, not all of it, but a lot of it. Mostly it is because I like feeling strong. I love the feeling when I walk out the gym doors after a really good workout and hate the feeling when I don't work out. I do not like standard cardio, but I like when my trainer gives me…

I wish I didn't like all these foods, I still like all the "bad" stuff and I still eat it, just not as much of it. In fact, I used to not like the frosting on store bought cakes and thought it had too much....now I want the piece with the most. Just doesn't seem right that my sweet tooth got worse after I lost 100 pounds.

When Hostess wrapped everything in foil, my favorite was the HoHo

I remember that, had it in college. Along with the one with the packet of cheddar cheese powder....which may still be around, I just haven't looked

It does sound like you are more worried about it than your friends. I found that to be true with my really close friends. They knew I was trying to change my ways and were very supportive. Work friends were a little more difficult, but still not bad and I didn't let it get to me. I have made a lot of friends in the gym and…
