Then why not just say that instead of the Kool-Aid. And...did you try it?

I've done the 7 minute max burpees too, it was awful. I only got 72. I don't think I was breathing right for the next couple hours.

I'm sure you could just do the training before you get out of bed in the morning, it would make the nap part easier for a beginner. You guys are cracking me up

Some days I chat with the people, some days I don't. No one interrupts during workouts though, it's usually before or after or when I am moving from the free weight section to another area of the gym. I'm good with it. Somehow I became actual friends with some of the people at the gym and socialize with them outside of the…

When I first started, I thought I would need a buddy to make me go, but I am go on my own, even when I don't feel like it. It's a good thing because the friends that I have gotten to join me at the gym never last. Luckily I enjoy the time and it is a stress reliever. I do have friends that go walking with me, when it's…

Like other's, I spend more money on bras and shoes. Can't skimp on either one of those. For the rest of the stuff, I am all over the place....Target, WalMart, JC Penney, Fabletics, Nike, Under Armour. I do tend to find my favorite shorts or capris and wear them more than others. Shirts I am not picky...race shirts, plain…

Oh so many, but the mindset that made it work for me this time was not beating myself up for a bad meal, a bad day or a bad week...and not labeling any foods as off limits. When I started, I was pretty strict and about a month in I had pizza, I was not happy with myself and thought my personal trainer would be upset with…

Make a spreadsheet for your workouts and PR's :)

I had foot drop after losing weight, it was caused by crossing my legs so much...something that I couldn't do comfortably before the weight loss. Mine was not serious, it went away in less than a week when I stopped crossing my legs all the time.

I get bored too, I did a lifting program for 12 weeks, I got bored during that, saw some strength gains, but not enough to keep me excited. Generally, my workouts are varied, I have a trainer that writes me 3-4 workouts a week that are all over the place and then I add a day of swimming and a class of some sort. When I was…

I am that way with chips and sweets, I have been known to buy the single serving bags to keep myself from eating too much. I mean I could go open a 2nd bag, but I don't. Of all the options, my biggest problem is ice cream...so I buy ice cream bars because I won't open a second one, but I could eat multiple servings of ice…

I've had my one for 3 years, never had a problem. I think since it isn't on my wrist and clipped to my bra, it doesn't get banged up too badly. It has been for a swim in the washing machine a couple times and keeps on working.

Nope, I don't even think I notice it in my thighs. Like ninerbuff said, feeing it my calves. I have to make sure I stretch them well after jumping rope for more than a minute or two.

I was just discussing this with someone in the gym, we both said we were having more general aches and pains right now. So, if I am feeling it, then I would assume that having other issues like RA and surgeries, etc would make it worse. Although I had hip replacement surgery almost 6 years ago and that doesn't seem to ache.

I let Fitbit calculate for me. It seems to take into account if my activity is more vigorous or not. The only think I log is swimming and that is because I can't wear the Fitbit in the water.
-
I was thinking of a different Friends reference, but commando works too. There is one where Phoebe is dating a guy that has the same issue and Gunther finally tells him to "Put the mouse back in the house, this a family place" I agree with others, you telling the story is funny, but it is way inappropriate.

"Swimmers appetite" is definitely a thing for me. I only do it once a week at this point, unless I sign up for a triathlon, then I have to go a little more. I have found that if I swim in the evenings instead of the mornings, the appetite isn't as bad...although maybe it's because I eat a late dinner and don't stay up too…

I agree that getting a true fitting. I went to a bra shop and got measured, it does help, but finding my size is still difficult and expensive. Victoria Secret isn't an option for me, they don't go to my cup size :(

Well, I am really weird. When I was really working on the heavy lifting, my bench press was the same as my deadlift and my squat was heavier than both. I blame hip replacement surgery though. Sadly none of them are very high. This thread makes me want to work harder on increasing the numbers again.
-
Haha, I do realize this. My friends and I have the discussion a lot, if I could give them some of mine I would. The grass is always greener....
-
Ditto! It also didn't make bra shopping easier. The band size going down, but the cup size not going down makes for even less options.

Whoo Hoo! Good win last night!

I just like to stand where two mirrors meet, then I look distorted and usually weirdly skinny :)

The pool is a great idea. Great that you are back in the gym, the harder workouts will come with time. Don't push it so hard that you slow the progress. I totally understand the body craving a good, hard workout. I was relegated to easy cardio for a while after hip replacement, it was frustrating, but I was back to…

This happens for sure, especially if people don't know you are trying to lose weight. I had the conversation with a co-worker. He said something to me when I had lost about 45 pounds and I asked if he just noticed. He said he had noticed for a while, but didn't really know how to bring it up...especially to women, as so…

This worked for my first triathlon....during the training. Problem was, I kept eating when the training was over.

I did a trial class a few weeks ago, I really liked it. I am getting ready to join for 8 classes a month. I don't know if I would like it as my only workout, I am afraid I would get bored if I did that all the time and got the unlimited membership. Twice a week sounds good though.
-
I was like that on my first one, not sure if I got any quality sleep...I was so nervous.
-
I lost a little over 100#. Bra size went from 42H to 36 G. Was at a 34 G for a little while and gained some weight back. :(

Ha, I start cussing at myself for signing up at some point during the triathlon, wondering why I pay to that to myself...then I cross the finish line, and say, yes, I will do that again!
