Thanks! Me too, I'd love to feel a new man, I mean feel like a new man.

You are not alone!! I have been searching for answers to my overwhelming fatigue for years. I have just noticed recently, the more tired I am, the more I want to eat, not hungry, but just want to eat. I always thought I was an emotional eater, but now I realize it's only when I'm fighting sleep, the harder I have to fight…

I like them when they are just starting to turn brown, but if they turn black, then I say they have gone bad and I either freeze them for smoothies or chuck them in the garbage.

Yep, start logging and log accurately, mostly so you can see at what calorie intake works for you with the amount of exercise you get. You're just fooling yourself if you don't log accurately. I know from experience. I kept saying, I'm doing everything right, why can't I lose weight, but really it came down to the fact…

Excellent choice! You will be better off in the end!

Why change what is working by adding a pill? Doctor Schmoctor, he must be benefitting from the sale or something. Honestly, if what you are doing is getting you a lb a week, just keep doing that!

You have not missed out on anything. Twinkies and the like are gross, except Ding Dongs. Ding Dongs are pretty good, but please Moon Pie, that's where it is. Mmmmmmmm Moon Pie. Edit cause I have no idea how to add the image

I was eating a Quest bar when I read this, almost had to put it down. HURL was my reaction too. Ewwwwwww.

I hear you on that one. Can't tell you how many times I've been at a restaurant, get done eating and get that look of fear and pain on my face and tell my daughter, we need to leave now and go home immediately. It sucks cause it can ruin plans, either that or I got to suck it up and use the restroom at the restaurant, and…

I've had digestion problems for years as well, from top to bottom. Was told by GP it was IBS and I needed more fiber, however, the more fiber I ate, the worse my symptoms got. Plus I really think GP's will just throw that answer at anything they can't figure out when it comes to digestion. Started having some really bad…

OMG, I am so glad you wrote this. I was wondering if I was the only one that has a mini (ok not so mini) obsession with them. They are almost my favorite thing to eat of all time, but I only have one every other day. Not sure why I've limited myself that way, but probably cost is biggest factor. I've got to try that…

Wow that is wild, especially that the dream would let you go through with pulling the trigger. I know that probably sounds dumb, but we have a way of waking ourselves up, usually, when having such emotion in dreams. I have had dreams that felt so real and affected my mood the whole day before as well. Usually the only…

He knows what he is talking about for sure. Not too long ago, I was also trying to figure this out and the decent, sound, and good advice from MFPers like him helped me a ton! And I agree, it is so refreshing to see someone listen and not get all butthurt over the advice because it is very sound. Losing weight should not…

There is nothing ewwwww about you, there is awwwww, and wow and you look fabulous and very very very healthy! Maybe they just need to get used to looking at you at a healthy weight for a while and if you feel it's necessary, bombard them with the facts about your healthy new body by the numbers.

I have the same problem. I think mine started from scooping ice cream at my night job, but I feel it when I lift also. I've done some research and I think mine is "tennis elbow" or tendinitis. It sucks cause there's not a lot you can do, except rest, ice and ibuprofen or Tylenol or whatever your choice of meds are. I,…

I workout because I like it, always have and I've always been active, also because I like it. Not everything I do is in the gym, but some of it is because that's the only place I can go to lift weights or swim or cycle with a group etc. You should pick things you love to do, that make you feel fantastic when you're done.…

I totally know what you are going through. Weekends are fairly unstructured for me and so then my eating is as well. So since I know weekend are a little harder to stay at my goal, I try to eat a few hundred less Thursday and Friday and Monday so I have a little "extra" for the weekends and I don't feel so restricted. I…

As long as your crampons fit, you should be fine. I heard it's a fairly easy hike.

Exactly what snowflake said. Plus you keep contradicting your own advice.

Quit telling them what you're going to do and just do it, for yourself. Keep it to yourself. Why does everyone feel the need to tell everyone they are on a weight loss journey and then wonder why nobody wants to hear about it or be supportive. Just do it, for you, for the rest of your life. Find support here, where people…

Words right out of my mouth. This exactly for me too. In fact, if I buy the "wrong" type of ice cream I fail, but if I keep it to the one I enjoy but don't got completely out of my mind crazy eat the whole thing before I know what happened even though I totally knew what was happening, I can keep it in check. I think the…

My weight and weight loss is my business and I don't share that with other people (except here on MFP) because I am really doing it for myself to become a healthier person and hopefully age better than my parents did. Obviously people at the rec center I go to know why I'm there because they are there for the same reason…

I also fight fatigue from the minute I drag my tired *kitten* out of bed until I put my tired *kitten* back in bed, so I also always workout when I'm tired. I always feel better and even if I swim at night, I'm out like a light as soon as I hit the pillow. Wish it was different, would love to feel like a human instead of…

Ok, well now I'm lost again.

Finally a post I can wrap my head around. I understood every single post including the OP's original question. I am finally understanding MFP!!

Ok so "building" strength is not the same as building muscle. I think it just clicked. I always thought the 2 were synonymous What y'all are saying is you can get stronger but to actually add or build new muscle on top of what you already have, you have to eat more. But if I eat more then I just put on more weight, which…

I've never really understood this myself. If I am strength training and adding weights every couple weeks so I know I'm able to lift more, how is that different from gaining muscle. If I'm getting stronger doesn't that mean I'm building muscle?

I know I was doing it because I was fearing success, not for the success part, but for the failure that was sure to follow (since that had been my habit). Also staying overweight is easy, easy to excuse all the reasons I don't have a love of my life, can't do certain things etc. etc. I had to really ask myself (and still…
