Good luck keep up with it. I did a cycle of shortcut to size about 7 months ago it was a great program! Your right body building has always been my primary. Bjj is lots of fun and intense --working muscles i had thought i was hitting in the gym but CLEARLY wasnt! I am doing BJJ on averge twice a week sometimes three. If it…

How did this conversation turn so naughty?

Welcome mil_arce Can I give you some advice? You gained weight because your body went into starvation mode! Your caloric intake has to be measured on the amount of physical activity that you engage in, which based on your post i think you figured that out. For a woman 5'3 who is moderately to lightly active you should be…

Hey There! Congrats on making this big push to getting healthy and in shape. The journey is long but so worth it. My advice, Stay connected! MFP and the community has been a huge help to me, where very few of my friends are serious about fitness and healthy eating. And of course, make a pinterest board about it. Change…

Hey guys thank you for replaying to my post! I have been looking a little into maybe doing a 10 minute Kettle bell work our before lifting, and see how that works for me. I haven't been doing much of a warm up to begin. Good luck to you guys

5'6, 118 lbs and usually for dresses I'm a 1-2. Keeping in mind I have a fairly small frame, and have been weight gaining and weight training since September! I'm hoping to gain another 10lbs in 2016

Though I seriously doubt you bare any resemblance to mrs doubtfire, I found your post hilarious!!

Hey thank you for replying! Yes I did gain 15 pounds in 2 months but I was 100 lbs at 5'5 so I was very under weight! Now I weigh 118, and would like to weigh 130. I guess I just need to be patient and keep at it. Though I do like to change up my routine I mostly do a similar group of workouts and increase my weight.…

Hello. Thank you for your advice. To add, I've only started getting back at the gym a month ago from a year break, as well as just started bulking on October 17, so I doubt it would be plateauing. I do no cardio. I almost always meet my protien, carb and fat goals as well as cals.

I see people posting high fat foods like whipped creme and ice creme. Are these good choices for long term weight gain? Maybe this where I've always made mistakes but I've always used foods like potato's and starches for weight gain. I've never thought to use creme, but I guess it makes sense?

Hey lady. I have gone up and down in weight, thought naturally I am very petite. Most of my life standing about about 5'5 I've been around 105 pounds. It's so easy for me to look at the clock and say "what the heck? It's three and I haven't eaten yet!". With weight training and a meal plan I've happily gained 20 pounds. I…

I would say that is on the intense side. Those last 2 reps should be really challenging, and you should be feeling a good 'pump' after words. I WOULDN"T take BCAA's if i was simply doing a session or two of cardio a week and ow resistance weight training. Of course intensity really varies from person to person.

Have you done your research on these? I have read they do help, but from what I have gathered you should be doing intense weight training for them to have the results that they are ment for. What are your fitness goals? leaning out? or muscle growth?

could you tell me what ketosis means? I haven't heard of this

Thank you for going to bat for me. Without a doubt this stems from a true concern for his health. On a cosmetic point; I only mention that he himself is not happy with the way he looks and for that I also raise my concern. Its hard to see the people we love feel this way and I definitely want to help them. Good luck you…

Less superficial? I am not sure where you get off saying something like this. Especially when gaining large amounts of weight is not HEALTHY. How could I not be concerned for the man i plan to spend the rest of my life with, if he is not eating well and healthy? I posted on this forum to receive some true insight, and if…

Clean and straight to the point! thank you for your comment

Good luck to you. Its important to challenge yourself, and don't fall into the common fear of become super jacked if you lift some heavy weights. As you progress, and feel less stress when your doing this, increase the weight! Don't be afraid to stay in a low rep range for a while (with heavy weight) You have to change…

I do! elbows and wrists. Take your omega 3's and fish oils. Go pick up a big batch from the drug store and take one with your meal. What do we do with a skweeky hinge? We oil it! If you were a car.. It essentially lubricates the pistons to make your machine run better.

I had a friend once who only ate tuna, oranges and protein shakes along with vitamins. Im not sure if he is still doing this, but he had a very low immune system and little body fat. When he was sick, he had a hard time delivering nutrients to his body. The protein and milti-vim is great. But don't forget important things…
