Nutritionist, I would not see. I would however, see a Dietician as they are required to have a higher education/degree. If you decide to see a nutritionist I would ask for their credentials.

My home scale sucks. Any that I have ever had sucks. So, I just go by the one at the recreation center...weigh in every Monday evening and go with that. I used a different scale they had and it weighed me 2 pounds more....so yeah, went back to the original one lol.

This. I really don't like fish that much. So, I don't eat it. I will have salmon once in awhile and prefer it with brown and wild rice. However, it does exclude tuna for some reason. I eat tuna mixed with black beans and salsa rolled up in a wheat tortilla. Or a tuna melt.

Can I ask how many months it took you? That's my start weight. Just curious. Thanks.

Congrats! You look great. Even though, as you stated, it was long..it was worth the read. Very motivational. I was seeing a trainer once a week (she has left my gym) and loved it. You get the right one and they are angels.

The difference is amazing. You look great. Celebrate your success. Obviously something you are doing is working right?!?!?! You can do this...you already have.

Congrats! That is so inspiring!

Wow I'm very impressed and hope and I follow in your shoes. That is incredible. This seems to be an old thread, but anyone posting recently or in the past - you can add me.. I started at 168 and am down a little over 10 pounds. My 1st goal is to get to ONEderland and then go from there. I am on every day (ok,missed one…

Now it's like a slap on the forehead (DUH) on why I haven't been giving them to my dog!!!! She will get them from now on.

Yep. I only throw yokes away if I make the cottage cheese pancake recipe that is on this site somewhere.

First..this. And, what works for some doesn't work for others. So, as much as they love their cereal doesn't mean you have to or that it will work for you. I basically have given up cereal. What I like either has too much sugar, and less sugar I don't like the taste. And, I really do great making sure I have protein with…

I am scared to be thin....skinny. Or I think I can never be skinny or never get there. But, it hasn't stopped me from starting the journey. I've set my sites for now on ONEderland. I am hoping the better I feel, the more I exercise, the cleaner I eat, the smaller I get...that hitting 199 will be so exciting I'll just keep…

Congrats. You look amazing. It's so exciting reading all the success stories. It keeps me motivated! Thank you for sharing.

I take it and I re-channel it into an "I'll show you *hole" attitude and workout harder. Not that you want him to ever be around to see you when you succeed. You'll be slim and in shape and he'll be drunk with a beer gut.

I have it...on my to read list. Sounded good so I think I picked it up at a garage sale or Goodwill one day.

Just starting book 2, Dragonfly in Amber. I have book 1-4 and 6. So need to fill in the gaps. Love the books so far and love the series on Starz! Gone Girl...my sister loved it so I guess I should put it on the list. I've read Wideacres by Phillipa Gregory (White Queen), and it has 3 books in the Wideacre series. After…

Me too. I just shake my head when my sister buys them. I'm like why don't you just lick a block of sugar? (19g in one little square) They are on the very top of my do not eat list. One is 200 calories...why would I waste calories on it. Yeah, that's 400 a package. WOW! How many people that you have met that eat pop tarts…

This. A lot of people are calorie in calorie out and will say the other people are losing weight from eating less calories and burning off more calories than you..via exercise. Therefore, eating anything you want within calorie goal is acceptable. I am trying to eat clean which even means day 4 of no Dt. Dew regardless of…

Though I registered over a year ago I've only been on a week or so (active). I have what...30 posts and I don't think anyone has responded to one of them. I just give my unsolicited advice, read, laugh a lot, cry a little, and keep showing up..for me.

Well the song did turn 30 this year. You can find it on You Tube if you feel the need to hear it.

I was thinking idiot because if they are painting most rollers screw on to a broom handle...so why wouldn't you just do that?
-
You can add me. I'm on daily logging. My first major goal is to hit Onederland and that is about 60 to get there. I could use more friends too! Good luck!

I'd like that problem. But, I understand. It can't be any different now than the line "you have a pretty face" and "you're such a nice person" when you are obese.

Was waiting for someone to post what was on my mind. Even if it is limited time, it's better than no time...but just find the time.

This. Single 3 1/2 years. Last one was insane...not even saying that lightly. And after I left him he even tried to commit suicide thinking it would make me come running back. I was so beaten down and broken by the time we were done. Long road back. This is my new journey...path least taken in the past...back to me.

My sister got me four (1/2 hour) sessions. I was excited but still sat on them for almost 3 1/2 months. After I did them I was in heaven and I decided to purchase more 1/2 hour session. But, I told her what I wanted. I wanted to do something different each 1/2 hour of things I can do on my own the rest of the week. (I only…

I always weighed in the morning so I could claim my lightest weight. Now I weigh at 4:30 or so because it was weekly with a trainer. And, once I changed my mindset then I like going with the afternoon one. I just think it is more important to be consistent. Therefore, I weigh same machine, within same hour, same day every…

Good luck. I've had 3 friends that have done it. One died...staff infection.l Two told me they lost 100 pounds and not more so they were still left overweight or obese. One of them has to cut their food into really really tiny pieces to even be able to eat and keep food down and get food into his stomach. I've had 2…

I see tons of posts that rave about the oatmeal cottage cheese pancakes. I tried them this morning and I have to say they will be a staple in my life. I try to get protein in with every meal, so regular pancakes in the morning would kill my calories for breakfast. I had them with peaches and whipped cream and they were…
