I LOVE Skinny Pop popcorn. I used to derail at the end of my work day on my long ride home. Now, I have 1- 100 calorie bag of Skinny Pop every day on my way home. This satisfies my urge for munching on the way home and keeps me from devouring everything in sight once I get home.

I just have to make sure that I have a snack that's satisfying enough to sustain me. I crank the tunes to keep my mind from food.

I have given up white, refined carbs. I now find myself getting full on much less calories and having a lot more energy!

I had trouble staying within my calorie count while enjoying carbs. That led to yo-yo weight gain. Now I have made a promise to myself to avoid any 'white' carbs. By cutting white rice, breads and such from my diet and finding more whole grain alternatives, I finally find myself getting full and no longer miss the other…

I love my old fashioned oatmeal for breakfast. I love the chewy pop they make between your teeth. Never have tried the steel cut and don't enjoy the quick style at all. In my opinion a diet that is too strict only leads to binging. A ifestyle change should allow all things in moderation. I have been having a chocolate kind of week. As for onions, I can't imagine why a person would not be allowed to eat them. They are low cal and loaded with healthy antioxidants!

Your doctor should have congratulated you on your progress thus far and your new helathier lifestyle & asked if there was any way he cold help you in the process. cgriffin- Congrats on the plateau break!! :flowerforyou: Marybeth- I don't usually weigh in a weight gain either, because I know I have followed the diet close enough and worked out, any gain should be temporary and when that water leaves the body I will be back down to where I was (and hopefully lower) :laugh:

Oops, I didn't weigh in this weekend. I was busy walking twelve miles on Saturday around three beautiful Minneapolis lakes, then off to our beautiful north country for some fun. I lost one pound this week, bringing my wieght to 124.

Great way to explain it. I eat off and on throughout the day. When I am hungry, I snakc and I try to make sure to always have healthy, low calorie snacks on hand. It seems to keep my metabolism higher. My sister always gets mad because I eat more than her and lose weight. I think it is the snacks in between. Hopefully, if…

Now that is willpower. We had cookies and muffins in the other morning. I ate two cookies and did almost 500 calories of damage. The muffins were over 600 calories each! Good thing we don't have goodies all the time!
