  • Insulin is only there to make your body store fat. It doesn't do anything to help use the fat. In a way the calorie deficit does still apply even though it's not mentioned in the book. There's no reason for your body to take from fat stores if it's getting more dietary fat than it needs to function.
  • The podcasts are for more in depth information for readers of the books that have a good understanding of the protocols. If I hadn't read the books I would be a mess trying to get a grasp on what to try. You really won't gain much unless you read it. I feel like the books pay for themselves. I used to spend tons of money…
  • Hey guys don't forget that most, if not all, of the weight lost during the induction phase is strictly water weight from carbs. On average the body holds roughly 3,000 calories worth of carbs in the body on a regular diet full of carbs. I lost 10 pounds during my induction phase so I know that if I just stopped and started…

I have read both Carb Nite and Carb Backloading and the only difference is Carb Backloading is a more up-to-date book of his newer discoveries since writing carb nite. Carb Backloading isn't just for muscle gain or…
  • I just started The Carb Nite Solution also. It's pretty much a precursor to Carb Backloading after first getting more into it. I'm on day 4 of reorientation and I'm down 6 pounds and an inch off my waist. I'm also taking a break from the exercise for 2-3 weeks until I get the ball rolling on this.
  • Calorie intake is definitely too low as everyone says. Our bodies are very complex machines and are probably the most adaptable mechanism in existence. If you cut back too much then you put your body into starvation mode and it adjusts your metabolism to not use as much energy. You should research several websites to find…
