Sadly, I my feet have not shrunk at all, but have actually gotten a half size longer. However, I've gone from having wide feet to almost narrow feet. And a bonus NSV ... I bought boots in a regular calf size over the weekend!!

Yep, that happened to me. But to make matters even more horrifying was the attitude of the attendant that practically yelled, "Lady, you're too fat to ride this ride" I crept off in embarassment and didn't return to a park until this year. Now it's unyielding claustrophobia that keeps me off park rides...

I make low-carb nut butter cookies... YUM!! to make: 1 cup natural nut butter (I crush my own peanuts or almonds) 1 cup vanilla protein powder (I use whey... no idea how other proteins would work) 2 eggs sweetener to taste (I use amber agave nectar) Mix together. drop by spoonfuls on UNGREASED cookie sheet. Use fork to…

One size too large I usually just wear (as long as they're not too baggy) Once they're too baggy, I gather them up and donate to Goodwill. Although I've kept my business suits and dresses until I can find an outlet (women's shelter etc) that can make good use of them. I hate the thought of Goodwill selling my $400 business…

When did 13 become plus sized? I thought Jr. Plus was sized the same as plus (or 14W-24W), and is cut quite differently than regular Jr. I was never be able to comfortably wear a Jr. size, since I'm tall with a long torso. Made me sad as a teenager, but ultimately I accepted my fate. Currently, I was a size 8, but I still…

It varies greatly from cereal to cereal. 30g of puffed rice is VERY different than 30g of granola. If you can't get a food scale, at least get a set of measuring cups.

I used WW back in the 80's (before the point system or the internet for that matter). I loved attending the meetings and the great support network. However, I hated the ridiculous and inflexible system of determining goal weight. I'd lost 80+ lbs but was still 10 lbs from where WW wanted me to be. My dr said I was healthy…

Me too!! I've NEVER worn a bikini (of any kind) and I bought one from VS yesterday for our upcoming beach vacation. I hope I have the nerve to wear it!

I use the Digifit app on my iPhone and it works well. It's a Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) that works with many phones.

Not true. I use a Mio Alpha, and it tracks my heart rate very well. I've tested it against my Polar HRM (chest strap) and against monitors on various machines. I use the Mio in conjunction with Digifit on my phone, and I get pretty accurate results. The Mio is fairly expensive as HRMs go, but I love not having to use a…

"anyway why not just have compression underwear for workouts and then your regular underwear, then youre just changing between the 2 pairs... unless its the act of changing underwear that bothers you and not having all these extra pairs of undies lying around, but really youre changing your pants anyway its just one more…

Definitely tour the gym and see what they provide. Our gym provides paper towels and disinfectant for wiping down equipment, but I bring my own sweat towel. I also bring a water bottle, headphones, phone (which also works with my heart rate monitor) and notebook. One gym I visited when I was traveling on business provided…

My first six months, I lost 15lb a month. Last 3 months, I've averaged 5 lbs lost per month.

Like many others here, I was tired of always being the "big" one. I took up 2 seats on the bus; I had to upgrade to first class on flights to avoid the embarrassment of having to buy a second seat (I had my own seat belt extender so I didn't have to ask for one) But what started it for me was when my husband asked me if I…

Relax... I agree with the other posters that you should take measurements and go from there. Don't stop working out... It's good for you. Change it up and add some weights. Also give yourself some leeway in maintenance. Weight fluctuates with cycles. I know my weight can fluctuate by as much as 10 lbs in a week. You're…
