For the sake of stats... 5'9" 187lbs - Size 12 (or 10 if there's stretch) jeans M or L tops depending on brand. I seem to need the larger size to fit my shoulders and arms. At my heaviest (291), I was a tight 24 or 26, wearing mainly 3X stretchy stuff.

Are you getting enough water? Sometimes I would start grazing, without any idea what I want. Then I read somewhere that your body may be asking for more water. So now when I feel like grazing, I drink a large glass (at least 16oz) of water and wait 15 minutes. If I still feel like grazing, I find a snack that will satisfy…

I weigh myself twice a day, but only record on Mondays. I guess I'm a little obsessive, I like checking out the numbers, up or down. I used to beat myself up when the scale went up, but I'm over that now, and just like watching the trends in my weight loss.

LOVE PB2. Never liked the greasiness of real peanut butter

Height: 5' 9" SW: 291 Starting bra size: 42I (had to pay $150 for each bra!!) CW: 188 Current bra: 34DDD Like many, my boobs have left the building. What I have left is a whole lot of saggy skin filling up the cups. Once I hit goal, I'm planning to have a lift, which will hopefully leave me with a C/D cup. Best of luck to…

You can do it!! I've lost my weight in 8 months by diet and exercise. Biggest thing for me is to track everything that goes into my mouth, and to manage my portions. Best of luck on your weight loss!!

That seems kind of high. Make sure your HRM doesn't think you're a guy. When I first started, I didn't know there was a difference, and that my app could distinguish between male and female. When I went in to adjust other settings, I saw that I was listed as 'male'. (I'm clearly female) I switched it to female and…

If you can afford it, have you considered a personal trainer? They can support an motivate a positive return to working out, be it in a gym, studio or even your home. With your consent, they can even work with your counselor to help you develop a more healthy attitude. While my success is mine alone, my trainer helps keep…

Hubby had bought a Mio and confirmed through testing that it was accurate, and I was thrilled with the idea not dealing with a chest strap, so he bought me one. But I saw the launch of the new Galaxy Gear Fit, and I'm now drooling for one of those!! Edit: Digifit is an awesome app too!!

How funny you mention this... Last time I tried to ride a roller coaster, the restraint wouldn't close. Talk about humiliating!! Next week I'm going to be in Las Vegas, and I'm going to ride that same roller coaster! And in June I'm going ziplining and parasailing (both were off limits last time I had the opportunity…

Longhorn Steakhouse... their under 500 menu is delicious!! Bravo! (Italian) also has some good choices. Both are nice places to go if you want to go out for dinner and skip the fast food.

Congrats!! You look fabulous!!!

If I were to lose 1lb a week, it would take over 2 years for me to lose my weight. I found that to be unacceptable, even if it did take me 15 years to put the weight on. I needed to see faster results to keep me motivated. So I went balls to the walls and went for a hard core workout program along with significant changes…

I must be the odd one. I've gained a shoe size, going from a 9 to a 10...

A really cheap cable weight machine. Oh my, was it a serious waste of $300. That and some stupid balance pods (or some such nonsense). But they only. Cost $10 and the cats like them :)

*clap* So true!!!

Fascinating study. When I started, my BMI was 44. I cut my calories to 1200 a day, and took up exercising 6 days a week, at least 90 min/ day. In 6 months I've lost 95 lbs and my BMI is now 28, which is still overweight, but no longer obese. Contrary to thoughts here, my metabolism did not slow on such a restriction. My…

OMG, I LOVE PB2. Not as greasy as regular peanut butter and has all the peanutty goodness... *rushes off to make a PB&J sandwich*

Aside from my kitchen scale (an absolute MUST), my Vitamix. LOVE it!!

In the 1973 movie "Sleeper", Woody Allen's character wakes up after being asleep for 200 yrs... the following conversation ensues: Dr. Melik: This morning for breakfast he requested something called "wheat germ, organic honey and tiger's milk." Dr. Aragon: [chuckling] Oh, yes. Those are the charmed substances that some…

Patience. I looked 9 months pregnant until I'd lost over 80lbs, and was close to 200. I started at 291. I still have a ton of lose skin and flab that I fear I will never lose. You're doing fantastic!! You ARE a success story!!

My husband and I do go out quite a bit for meals, and we special order out the wahzoo (I often will get a kid's meal, he substitutes right and left) and it now only rarely annoys servers. And those are servers that don't know us, because those that do, know that we tip well. I believe if you are paying for your meal, you…

^ agreed. I will also be the big, fat girl because everyone around me will always be much smaller than me, no matter how much weight I lose.

I love my Fitbit One!! I clip to my waist or pocket, and off I go. Like you, I spend a lot of time on the computer, and a wristband would have annoyed me (I usually take my watch off at work, and forget it). Also, the One tends to be more accurate, especially if you clip it close to your torso. The flex/force may…

I also have an H7 and I pair it with Digifit on my iPhone. Gives me great information that I use to improve my performance. I can't imagine not using it now. But I'm a gadget girl. I also have a Fitbit One that I use for motivation to keep moving. Do I NEED these items? No. But working out and weight loss is a lot more…
