Looking for friends who post. I have been doing this for a year. Lost about 35 pounds. About 25 to go. Add me.

Patience is important. After a year using MFP to track the food I am eating, it has become a habit. I eat better now because I have conditioned myself to do so. Goal weights are great, but most people start to look significantly better when about 20 - 30 pounds short of the GW. There are health benefits that you will start…

I buy about 8 - 10 pounds of vegetables a week and eat them with a protein each day. Have not thrown out any vegetables this year because I refuse to let them go bad. Avoid bread and sugar. I love cheese and eat it most every day, but avoid most other dairy products. My carbs stay low because of the calories I get from…

Yes, if you do a google search for Achilles injury, you will find a lot of people having chronic problems. I found the below website on an MFP discussion. I have been doing the eccentric heal drops suggested by the link and it has helped me get to a point where I can run again. It is an interesting article if anyone cares…

Have run three miles in 30 minutes several times in tha last few weeks. After not being able to run for two years due to my Achilles, this is gratifying. Maybe I can do a few races this year. Also bench pressed 235 six times the other day.

I know that I work hard and people who know me have told me so. If I hear an occasional comment that rubs me the wrong way, I just use it as motivation. I go to the gym to pick a fight with my belly fat and no one else.

All pt's are well educated and extremely knowledgeable. I think it is quite common for these people to be frustrated by the insurance system. If you can find one to spend time with, they will get you better. Glad you found someone.

My wife is a physical therapist. She has her license, but does other things now. She started in a hospital, but after a few years got frustrated because she spent a lot of time filling out insurance forms and was unable to do things that would get people better because insurance would not pay for that nonsense. She spent…

Sorry to hear about your mother. My mom died of cancer just over a year ago. There are several people who live near my mom who have died of cancer too. Would love to know why so many people are getting cancer. I think some kind of poison is getting into people through the air they breath, the things they eat, or the…

One of the great things about people who do statistical analysis is that they can do something they love and accomplish nothing and get paid for it. When doctors comment that only makes it better. This study answers a question I would never think to ask. All along I thought losing weight and getting fit was a good idea,…

Congrats. Thanks for sharing. This is a great post and an inspiration

Pizza. Cheese is a good source of protien if you don't eat too much.

I guess making a statement about an article I did not read is cynical. My bad.
-
I did t read the article, so I'm not cynical, but I'm better off.

Great job. You look great. I grew up 10 miles from Boston. I think your goal weight is fantastic because at that weight you will look wicked good. Go patriots.

Started taking TRX classes a month ago. After the first class my lower abs were killing me. I thought I had a strong core, but I guess not. After a month of classes there is no more pain. I found that I can enjoy killer ab work in a group class, but I have a hard time working that hard by myself.

There is a reason why they tell people to put the air mask on themselves before their children on an airplane. Your time serving others is not wasted time. Your loved ones are watching and they are blessed when you are blessed.

Great job. I'm 56 and I bet I could pass a stress test, but I had to quit volley and basketball because I keep pulling muscles. I can't even run yet. So even if I had it in my heart to do what you are doing, I would be a liability. I am impressed.

This article is obnoxious

I love the video. I live by his 'study of 1' theory. A good lawyer won't ask a question without knowing the answer. A person losing weight can use the same approach. If I am going to lose weight and keep it off, I am doing something forever. This is not a temporary thing. Forever provides ample time for experiments. If I…

I'm Mack. I'm 55 for 2 more weeks. I started using this app on January 1st, I'm at about 230, started at 268. This is my second time trying this, but this time I have made major changes to the kinds of foods I eat. I found I can't eat less of the foods that make me fat and expect to lose weight. I need to eat more…

Thanks for posting. I will join the group. I just turned 50 six years ago.

Congratulations. You're going to run and not get tired!

Good commitment to you. If you have a good plan this will work.

Don't add me I'll just tell people I know Zach.
