Fresh fruit can't be beat for "healthy sweetness" the three things I had to wrap my head around when I started last month: 1. Learn to drink oceans of water every day 2. Learn to love salads and veggies. You can eat them all day long and not come close to exceeding your calorie goals 3. Eat lots of protein - chicken and…

I buy the orange sauce from panda express. 1 tablespoon is like 35 calories. Yummy!

What your height, weight and age? (all the things a guy is never supposed to ask a woman)

I think MFP does a poor job of giving recommendations. Can I ask your stats? Age, height, and weight

Is there a chance you're eating too little and your body is trying to store up the calories. That seems to be a pretty common practice among women on MFP. Is your calorie intake somewhere around your BMR? Or higher or lower?

You rock!

When I started MFP there were three things I needed to wrap my head around. 1. Drink oceans of water 2. Learn to love salad. You could eat salad all day every day and stay under you calorie limit. And it's packed with nutrients to boot. 3. Lots and lots of protein so you get that feeling of having had enough to eat. My…

With all due respect, the essential thing that has to matter is calories. More calories expended through activity than is taken in by eating. Grilled chicken salads are super easy to make up and you'll be hard pressed to exceed your calorie limits.

So it looks like 1700 ish calories is what should get you through your day. I would say start off by limiting your calories to 1400 per day. Get a pedometer and try to get in at least 5,000 you'll be surprised how fast you can rack up 5,000 steps. That should get you off to a good start.

slow and steady wins the race. You can do it!

Good for you! It's funny how the people you would think should be the dearest can sometimes be the most toxic. Do what's right for you!

Salad, fruits, veggies, chicken, turkey, milk are my go-to foods. If I feel hungry between meals, I have little 100 calorie snacks around: granola bars, small bags of pretzels, yellow mango, peaches, kiwi

Can you eat dinner later at night? Say 7:30 or 8:00 and make sure it includes protein to help you feel satisfied?

Rock Climbing and the rowing machine are among my faves.

If you want to eat the same; then you'll need to up the level of daily activity is all.

First I think there's a legit timeline: No pain > accident > pain I would think any doctor should have investigated the possibility of the pain being accident related. So hindsight being 20/20 I agree that you should have sought a second opinion immediately. So go find another doctor ASAP. Maybe an Internal Medicine…

I think looking at your calorie trends week to week is probably gonna be more beneficial than agonizing over them day to day. One day of going under or over a little is not gonna make or break you as long as over time you're consistent.

Some of these packets are so sweet that I'll just use half a packet.

Zero. And I also stop eating 3 hours before bed time.

My goal is to live longer than my dad (he died at 64) and his dad (he died at 62). My goal is to avoid diabetes. Which runs in my family. My goal is to avoid heart issues. Which run in my family. My goal is to see my son live well into his 30s and 40s and beyond. I started at 188 and I think 130 - 140 would be a nice place…

I think it comes down to how you feel about artificial sweeteners. There's plenty of options out there.

Way to go! You look awesome! And you look happy :)

Great job! Keep it up!

Why not increase say to 1400 and see if you put weight on. If you don't put on weight then up to 1450. Rinse. Repeat. MFP seems to be filled with "All or nothing" mind sets. Just ramp up gradually to a level where you're not putting on weight but feeling satisfied.

I hung in there until he started berating other people and their motives. Dude needs to ease up on the running and get some therapy time instead.
