I hear you. A nice Friday night meal is a great reward after a tough week at work. For me, it's been really important for me to visualize my day every morning. I get up, and while I'm going through my bathroom routine, I'll be thinking about what the day has in store and how that's going to affect my eating. So if I know…

If the goal is to feel full and satisfy the hunger then it's time to up the protein. I'm not a big salad fan, but I eat it for the nutritional benefits. i just cook up 3 to 6 ounces of chicken and throw it in the salad. http://www.healthaliciousness.com/articles/foods-highest-in-protein.php

Keep doing what you're doing. at 2000-2500 calories based on activity. i think those numbers look good. for your TDEE

If it were me, I would set the TDEE closer to 2200 - 2400 calories.

Sorry to hear your progress is not where you want to be. I hope the personal trainer can get you on a good path.

I can definitely relate to your first bullet point. That's what I think about me when i look in the mirror. And that's how I tend to look at other overweight people. Thanks for your honesty.

Studies have shown the people like to hire people who are "like them" So this might be tricky. If the hiring person is thinking "I'm trying to lose weight and this person is on my same wavelength" then that's a big plus. If however the hiring person is thinking "This person is better at losing weight than I am; I wonder…

Even if you hate the pics, I would take them for reference purposes. The changes in my body from July 1 to now are subtle. But they're there. When you just look at your diary, all you see are numbers and percentages, trend graphs and such. I think it's helpful to be able to go "When I was eating like X, these were the…

I am wary of any conversation that starts with "Have you noticed anything?" It feels like a test.

every day. knowledge is power. And the geek in me likes lots of data points (they make for pretty graphs)

Ok so your TDEE is about 2300 calories a day (The amount of calories you actually burn) Your BMR is about 1500 calories (The amount of calories to sit around and do nothing) I would suggest not going below 1500 calories net (your food calories - your exercise calories = your net calories) And I would actually say that 1600…

would you be willing to give your basic stats? Age, Height and weight? It would also help if you opened up your diary.
