You Could Have Sleep Apnea. I Had The Exact Same Problem, Told My Doc I Wanted A Sleep Study, And Sure Enough, I Have It Bad. I Got A CPAP Thru My Insurance.

BTW, This System Is Just A Plain Ol' American Diabetic Food Exchange System. The One They've Used Forever. I'm SHOCKED That I Can't Find A Good App That Knows Food Exchanges!! The Are Extremely Common. That's Why I Think I'm Looking In The Wrong Places Or Using The Wrong Search Terms Or Something. It Doesn't Make Sense…
-
OK, thank you MorningWhisper, I'm going to look at those. I'm having trouble with *combination* foods, like pizza. How do you figure those in? Are you still logging at myfitnesspal, and also doing the exchanges separately?....

Ok.

Kelly is trying to sell Herbalife. She message me something similar when I posted on another thread. I had been asking about shakes. A little shady.
-
Yeah, Kelly is trying to sell Herbalife. She sent me a private message about it from another thread, where I had asked about some protein shakes, because I'm new here. I think it's kinda shady.

Thanx. LoL!
www.google.com - do a search on: convenience foods that are low in sugar, sodium and fat
I can't click on it.

Bump.

I was going to buy the fitbit pedometer and get on that program, but my husband reminded me that I have two pedometers here somewhere, that are brand new, that I forgot about. :blushing: Whateverrrrrrrrr. So I'm gonna try those two. I think the problem was, I tried them and they weren't easy to use. But the fitbit…

Check out this definition of BMR, I got from the "apps" on the MFP website: "What is your BMR? Your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is an estimate of how many calories you'd burn if you were to do nothing but rest for 24 hours. It represents the minimum amount of energy needed to keep your body functioning, including breathing…

Ok, I'm gonna go to the database and look up sesame chicken. :) I make my own steamed white rice at home, in my Korean rice cooker, cause it's super easy (just add rice and water, hit "cook", and go do something else till it's done). But I lovvvvvvvve the fried rice. And I lovvvvve the plain lomein. :ohwell: I don't tend…

Hmmmmm, logging the housework, and slow walking, is working for me so far, but maybe in the future it won't.
-
That's awesome! Thank You!
-
I disagree about not logging housework. If you're doing it for a span of time, laundry, putting clothes away, doing dishes, putting them away, vacuuming, picking up, for like twenty minutes or more straight, I would log it.

Ranch is totally fine, as long as you log it into your daily count. Ranch is a great way to choke down some raw carrots, I think.
-
I feel you! And I LOVE your bears on your ticker! (do you love bears?) I hate exercising too, and I get bored, also. One thing I like in the database, is they have some of the things you might already be doing --- if so, you should log them. They have "light housework" on there -- I totally log that. Like when I'm…

(I sound like a really healthy eater! LoL! I'm just starting with MFP, but that salad is a favorite of mine, and The Sneaky Chef I've been using for years with my son.)
-
My son doesn't like vegetables either (he doesn't have a diagnosis or anything, he just is choosy). So I bought The Sneaky Chef cookbook. I sneak puree'd vegetables (organic babyfood) into his mac and cheese (tsp carrot, and tsp sweet potato), chicken noodle soup (couple tsps. carrot), hot chocolate (tsp sweet potato),…

Bump. (Because Of My Question)
-
Oh, and in my daily logging, while I'm doing well with calories, I'm not doing as well with sodium and sugar. So I still have to work on that.
-
I entered in that I wanted to lose 20 pounds. Initially I had entered in that I wanted to lose 60 pounds, and I was having trouble with the calorie count it gave me (I was still hungry), so I changed it to "lose 20 pounds", and it calculated 1600 calories per day for me. I figured it was water weight. I'm not "super mega…

(Question -- in "groups", are we allowed to start a regional group, with the name of our city? I'm assuming No, but thought I would ask.)
-
Is anyone here?
-
I agree. :ohwell: I hate most exercise clothes. I find one thing I have to have is a good sports bra, or a good bra in general. I feel best in cotton shorts that fit close to the body, Bermuda length, like bicycle shorts, with a big, boxy cotton t-shirt. With a good bra and a good pair of sneakers. :ohwell: Still, not very…

I remember having to sit at the table, with my two cousins, till bedtime, because we didn't "clean our plates". It would be, like, cold mashed potatoes, peas, etc..... OMG. Now it would be considered child abuse! LoL! I totally hear you.
-
I'm thinking it's probably equal to "light housework" on the MFP Exercise Database, or "mowing on a riding mower'. I wouldn't think it'd be anywhere near 700. I'm thinking it is very low, but significant enough to log. I just want to *log* it, that's all. I know it's not like running, or water aerobics, or chopping…

Hmmmm...........I'm thinking that there is probably a "good" waist/hip ratio?.... I'm also thinking that there is probably some correlation to health with a good waist/hip ratio....? I remember in evolutionary bio class that there is a waist/hip ratio that is rated highest for human attractiveness in blind studies where…

Ok, sounds great. Thank you!

I changed it to 20 pounds to lose, instead of 67, and it gave me a lot more calories to work with.
