First of all... EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! MOST people go 2-3 times a week. Some more, some less. I have patients that only have a BM 1-2 times/week. But what you are describing ISN'T normal and you should have it checked out. NOT by an OB/GYN... a gastroenterologist!

YAY! I am up for this! Please! Count me in! Cazz :)

ya know... i'm 51 and wear Guess very low-rise. Age doesn't determine your style... your comfort does. I also love my BKE Stellas. (Same as everyone else is talking about - Express.)

Okay... so I am slowly building up to where I was in my workouts before surgery. My muscles are still aching, screaming at me, but I'm getting there. Funny how I am afraid of doing any core work for fear of injury. (Don't wanna do hernia repair again!!) Having said that, I AM doing crunches... just no where near the number…

I kind of like this idea as well.
-
okay... my muscles are SCREAMING at me!! ugh... starting back at square one. well, not really... but that's how it FEELS! :explode:
-
I am now back to working out. Had to start slow since being off so long after surgery. :ohwell: in any case... back to the grind!!! yeah... where ARE our signatures?!
-
Yes! That was EXACTLY my point! Look, I once weighed 335#. I am only 5'1" so I swear I was taller lying down than standing up! In any case, I now weigh 164#. (and I did it the hard way - no surgery) I totally understand where you are coming from. NO ONE noticed until after I lost 50#. But I KNEW! I didn't care if…

You're right. You should quit. Is THAT what you want to hear? You want others to give you permission to say "screw it, stay fat"? I rather doubt it. But I say... if it success is making you THAT miserble... quit.

Okay... so I didn't get to go back to work on Monday. :frown: I see MD again on Wednesday, so hope to be released for work on Thursday. Today was the first day I could actually get up from the couch/chair and not hurt. I can stoop and bend and everything else so I see no reason why I can't get back to work. It's really…

Okay... surgery done on Tuesday. Up and about - just VERY slow!! :ohwell: Still having pain - but at this point it's mostly gas. Well... that and the fact that I need to have a BM!! :grumble: UGH! The things Percocet does to me!! :frown: Been trying to eat high fiber but failing miserably! :grumble: Oh well... I am hoping…

I'm not sure who told you that you could "tighten up" your saggy skin with "time, weight-lifting, and lots of water". I laughed my *kitten* off. Once your skin is damaged with stretch marks, etc... it will NEVER go back to how it was. NEVER... except with surgery.
-
I totally agree with you there.
-
Oh, it's FAR from sad. It's reality. OUR reality.

FAT is NOT healthy... no matter how you try to spin it. Which is different than saying you shouldn't love yourself... no matter what. I mean... we MADE ourselves fat in the first place. (NO ONE force fed me the food I ate or held me back from exercise!) Hopefully, you enjoyed the ride there. Unfortunately, the trip back is…

AGREE!!!

bumping for later

YAY!!! well done, you!

YAY for you, BJ!!

It seems to me that people post some crazy *kitten* just to get comments back... just sayin'.

Okay... hernia repair scheduled for Oct 11th... MD said after 3 days I will be able to do cardio, low impact elliptical, treadmill, stair stepper... but nothing abdominal for a month. UGH!

A real can of worms, this! As others have stated, it's a complicated issue with MANY factors being involved. However, it must be said: This IS NOT just a problem with Americans! In some countries it is a sign of wealth to be overweight. So in that, it is cultural. In the US, we don't walk anywhere!! I lived in the UK for…

he bottom line is: you pay for it - one way or another. If I have a splurge day... I count up the calories and "buy it back" at the gym. So... I have "paid" for what I ate. I know if I don't put the extra work in, I will see it on the scale, eventually.
-
YAY for you!!! Have a great time with your friend!! :drinker:
-
Lisa and Nikki - you two are just AMAZING!! Keep up the great work!! :drinker:

Things with the Slave Driver are the same! ugh! I have decided that I can fit her into my budget for 2 visits a month. It might mean our 2012 summer vacation will be somehwhere in the US instead of the planned Italy for me and my son... but that's okay. I've been there before, plus... he will be 1 yr older and remember it…
-
YAY for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :drinker: I've been stuck at 164# for a few weeks now... :grumble: Better no loss than a gain, though!

The hcg diet acually makes your body burn fat INSTEAD of muscle because it tricks the body into thinking you are pregnant ...
