Just an update that I have had no alcohol for over a week and was given the chance to on Saturday night but declined. Feel so much better for it!

I just hear so much that alcohol hinders the process of fat burning regardless of being in a deficit. For me binge drinking once a week is a lot.

I agree, it does disrupt my sleep and obviously rest and sleep is vital in recovery and fat loss.

Thanks for the above replies. I doubt I'll feel lonely...alcohol isn't my friend! I do have other things in my life to do apart from booze! I am mainly focusing on weight training so I just want to try and drop body fat and have successful workouts. I only have about 6lbs to drop so I suppose any thing will affect that. 4…

Look into plyometric training. It will help your explosive strength and power that all games players require. Lots of jumping, leaping etc. Maybe incorporate some circuit training and intervals into your workout.

Mine is open! I aim for high protein and clean as possible for most of the week.

I actually read an article on this about it linking to fat burning. I used to get it a lot on my hips and thighs when i ran.
