Yep I pretty much weigh everything, especially meats and grains. I've calculated my tdee/BMR but I feel these numbers cause me to gain. I rarely think I eat at a surplus. I don't actually know what maintenance is for me. I do occasionally have deload weeks too, and this is why now I want to switch programmes up.

I just can't get my calorie consumption right. I'm only 4ft 11 and around 58kg. I do try get my protein at 100g plus. I just don't know how much to eat!

My diet is what I struggle with in the sense of finding the right calorie requirement for me. I've gone higher and lower but seem to not find the right amount. I generally eat very well when I'm in routine.

I'm 4ft 11 and around 126-127lbs. I used to be lighter when I ate virtually nothing and did loads of cardio but now I'm heavier, stronger and doing more heavy lifting combined with cardio, approx 4 times per week. Eating around 1400 calories per day, higher protein and still have days where I go higher on calories.

any advice!?

This is what I was thinking. Just seems quite odd how I've changed that and this has happened.

Yeah I'm going to try see my doctor. I've been stressed and my running is more than I've ever done before. I'm eating quite a bit so I can't see it being diet related.

I'd be pretty shocked if I was. It's the fact that my PMS symptoms came at the exact time that they normally do.

Just to let you know I'm just tucking into my breakfast...a big bowl of Fage 0% Greek yogurt! By the way, that article was in the UK edition of Marie Claire.

I read it and though really...she tried to say you get it all from nuts and veg etc. I agree but she suggested 100g of nuts?! How much fat is there instead, regardless of it being 'good' fats!!

Don't shoot the messenger!! I just thought I'd query this as I have heard the whole dairy thing before! I bloody love the stuff so I'm glad it's a load of rubbish!

Someone may be able to enlighten me here! I'm the same...began to run more and incorporate it with stronglifts, some interval training after those sessions, maybe spin and netball after my weight session. I'm currently eating around 1400-1500 calories, and I don't eat back exercise calories. I use a hrm and average around…

Thanks!

Just an update I haven't lost. Yes there have been a couple of higher days, but I've exercised a lot, stopped drinking alcohol completely now for 3 weeks too.

I think the consensus is that cardio is very effective depending on how it is performed and how it compliments your other training and/or your diet. For example, high intensity interval training has been identified as a successful way of helping lose body fat...this is still classed as cardio.

I buy so many tubs of Fage 0%. It's such a perfect way of getting protein up and it goes with anything...sweet or savoury! I found the new Tesco finest 0% Greek yogurt (UK) is actually quite food and similar with nutritional content.

I did this for many years....cardio for two hours per day, 6 days per week and eating 1000 calories or so with a bit of a binge on the weekend. I was lighter than what I am now by about 9lbs but I was also depressed, hungry, agitated, cold and tired. I think doing this to my body has ruined my metabolism as I now struggle…
-
I'm aiming for that amount on all days, I was told this by Sidesteel and Sara who run the Eat, Train Progress group. I find I'm just as hungry on my rest days. I spent a lot of time under eating (1000cals per day) and doing a lot of cardio and I think I've screwed my metabolism. I used to be around 116lbs...more skinny…

I'm tryi g to find the perfect amount. I've only got about 5lbs to lose and am trying to hit around 1400-1500 per day with streght training 3 times per week and running 2-3 times per week.
