I have a goal of 40 lbs. this time around so I'm right there with you. I've lost 100 lbs. total previously. Over the last 1 1/2 years I've gained back some from medication, health issues, inability to exercise and poor food choices. I've done it before and I'll do it again. Please friend me if anyone would like. Let's…

I carry the majority of weight in my mid-section. I still have a little extra fluff there that I'm working on but I find that a LOT of core work is the key. I'm in a couple yoga classes as well as a team fitness class and then I do core at home, too. It is making a difference. I can actually feel muscle under my fat layer,…

Hi, I am 5' 3". I started about 5 months ago at 163 and am currently around 123. My goal is 115 but I could adjust it anywhere between 110 and 115. I have a lot of toning to do, too. Good luck reaching your goal! I have some progress pics posted on my profile.

Hey, I totally understand your trepidation regarding upping calories. I am in the process of upping mine from 1,000 to about 1240. I have had medical testing done so although my intake is low, so is my metabolism. Actually, now it's considered normal. In any case, it was strongly suggested to me to up the calories…

Hi, I am 5' 3" and have not yet reached my goal. I had an all time high of about 225 lbs. I lost about 60 +/- a few years back and now I'm going for my ultimate goal weight. I've been back on MFP for a little more than 4 months. I started at 163 lbs. and am down to about 127, I don't weight in all the time so I'm down more…

Ah, the sweet taste of success!! How cruel that anyone would ever say anything like that. People can me so mean. Congrats on your success, you look fantastic!

Your blog tells such a beautiful story. You truly are so inspiring. Keep up the great work, you look absolutely amazing!

You look absolutely amazing. You were beautiful before but now you look incredibly healthy, to boot. Thanks for sharing. I needed some motivation to nudge my butt toward my goal.

If you go into community under the technical assistance section there are instructions. I had a terrible time and I consider myself fairly computer savvy. I uploaded my photos to photobucket, copied the links, changed the "IMG" to lowercase "img" at the beginning and end of each photo (imperative to do or the photo won't…

I am way in! I have lost a bit of momentum lately and need to get it back. I'm going for my goal weight!

I enjoyed reading about your journey and how you plan to continue this journey. It is a little disappointing to have it reiterated that the journey doesn't end when the goal weight is reached but I thank you for being candid and so honest and SO correct. You look amazing and your attitude is fantastic! Wishing you all the…

I started MFP again about 4 months ago and am down about 35 since then. I have about 12 or 13 lbs. to reach my weight goal and more toning…

I am just under 5' 3", closer to 5' 2 1/2". I started out at about 225 lbs. and lost about 60 or 65 just over 3 years ago with the help of MFP. I started MFP again about 4 months ago and am down about 35 since then. I have about 12 or 13 lbs. to reach my weight goal and more toning to reach my body fat goal. I'm still very…

I consider myself vertically challenged at 5' 2.5". I haven't reached my goal yet. Originally I weighed about 225 lb. I lost about 60 lbs. or so a few years back and this time around I'm going to lose the rest. My goal weight is about 115, I am currently somewhere around 127. I am focusing on toning now and reducing my…

When I started working out religiously my weight plateaued for a bit but within a couple weeks my body acclimated and started losing again. Hang in there and be patient. Working out is so good for you so don't let this discourage you. It's a small price to pay. More muscle = more fat burn. Keep it up, it will all pay off.

Hi, I am 39 and also vertically challenged. I'm about 5' 2"ish (maybe 5' 2 1/2"). I originally weighed about 225 but when I started my most recent round of weight loss I started at 163. I have been dieting and on this site as of today for 110 days, I think. I am down to about 128 or 129 and my goal weight is 115, maybe…

I am guessing that the protein powder is not the reason your brother wasn't losing weight. You do have to count the calories from the protein powder (of course) but protein is imperative in a diet and it has worked great for me. I drink shakes with protein powder regularly and know a lot of other people that do the same.…

I just got Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus but haven't tried them yet. I would love to know what input you receive. I thought the zumba games looked like they might be fun. I also got Daisy Fuentes Pilates and I'm hoping to try it soon!

You look fantastic! Congratulations!

I think you look fine in the first pic and the last. I think you look way too thin in the middle pic. Truth be told, I think the only weight you need to drop is however many pounds your boyfriend weighs and get a new guy that appreciates you for you!! You're beautiful and don't change for a guy, EVER! You should do what…

You look amazing!!! You also look so confident and that's great to see. Your hard work sure did pay off!! Congratulations,

Hi, I have the very same problem. I try to keep food to snack on with me at all times and eat some here and there. I usually have roasted almonds and I always have a healthy protein bar on hand as well. I have almonds at home and in my car. I'll grab 5 at a time and if you that, with almonds or something you prefer, the…

I've lost about 30 lbs. so far (this time around). I was a small DD cup when I started this round of weight loss and now I'm a large C cup. Big boobs are great if that's your preference but not at the expense of your health unless being sick with big boobs is a tradeoff you're willing to make. I should mention that large…
